2021 Gift Card Bonus Offers

During the months of November and December, think twice before buying any gift card without first looking for a deal. Many stores and restaurants will be offering promotions to help you stretch your money. If you happen to be dining out, consider taking advantage of the gift card offer for your own savings!

Read the terms carefully – most bonus cards will have a specific redemption period or expiration date (and they don’t last long). Don’t forget to support small local businesses, too!

2021 Gift Card Bonus Offers: Buy a Gift Card, get a Bonus!

• Abuelo’s – Buy $50 worth of gift cards, get a $10 bonus gift card through 12/31. Bonus card valid 1/1-3/31 only.

More Ways to Save on Gift Cards

• Kroger – Download your Kroger digital coupon and earn 4 times the fuel rewards points on gift card purchases purchased. (This normally runs from the end of November through mid-December.) Kroger store gift cads, airtime cards and more are excluded.
• Meijer mPerks Reward – Spend $50 in select gift cards, get $5 off your next shopping trip. (This digital reward instantly loads to your account when you enter your mPerks number at checkout; you will NOT receive a checkout coupon). Excluded gift cards: Meijer, Amazon, iTunes, Gaming, Hulu, HBO Now, CBS All Access, Spotify, prepaid Debit, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and phone cards.TIP: Use this savings to create deals at ANY store you plan to shop – Toys R Us, Lowe’s, Home Depot, etc. Buy gift cards now, then use them in the coming weeks to pay for your purchases.
• Target – Sometime around the first Sunday in December, Target has offered 10% off Target store gift cards online and in-store. This is a HUGE way to save and something I look forward to every year (not always for gifting, either)! Hopefully it will return.
• Scrip Program – If your school/church/band/organization uses Scrip, don’t forget to keep your eyes open for bonus deals at this time of year. Larger rebates for select cards are common!

Many businesses will not release their gift card offer as late as December. Some may choose to discontinue it completely. These businesses have featured bonus card offers in the past, but have not published any details yet for this year (the details below were from 2019).
