Disney on Ice Treasure Trove: Review + Coupon Code!

A Guest Post by Lisabeth

As someone who never tires of all things Disney, I was thrilled to attend Disney on Ice Presents: Treasure Trove. This was out third installment of Disney on Ice in two years (and I should also mention that we JUST got back from Disney World a few weeks ago), and still — it was magical.

The show was equal parts adventure (with Peter Pan, The Lion King, and Alice in Wonderland) and romance (with Aladdin, Snow White, and Tangled), so boys and girls alike were captivated by the show.

This experience is so much more than watching Disney characters performing ice skating routines — although that part is incredibly impressive. The clever costuming, set designs, and use of effects made me forget at times that I was watching skaters and not Broadway production on stage.

What I love about Disney is that spare no detail in creating moments for families to enjoy together—and Disney on Ice is far from exception. And since I haven’t yet convinced my husband to let us move to Disney World, it was nice to spend the evening with our character friends in our neck of the woods.

As a special treat, The Incredibles jazzed us up during the opening with some audience participatory exercise routines. None of us could keep up with Mrs. Incredible though. What a talent!

Disney is so gifted in mood-setting. Here, you really feel as if the ice has been transformed into a swamp and a crocodile is sneakily emerging from the water…

I loved how at the end of each segment, the performers gave the audience an incredible photo op.

These two princesses didn’t stop smiling the entire night!

For me, the highlight of the night was the Alice in Wonderland portion of the evening. The Queen of Hearts performed a routine with a deck of cards. Disney outdid themselves with this costume design, and the aesthetic created with the movement of cards together in unison was imagination in motion.

A NOTE from B2B:
A very special thanks to Lisabeth for providing her honest review of the show. My family was unable to attend due to illness – and I’m so thankful that she was willing to share her honest opinion and photography skills!
