Dollar General: Everyday Heroes Program + Prize Package Giveaway

In celebration of Black History Month, Coca-Cola® is offering Dollar General customers a chance to win a family trip for up to 10 people to the 2012 Essence Music Festival® presented by Coca-Cola. The Essence Music Festival – which takes place July 6 through 8 – is the country’s largest annual African-American music and empowerment event.

The Honor Heritage Sweepstakes is part of Dollar General’s Black History Month celebration, the first of several Dollar General initiatives honoring “Every Day Heroes.” The year-long program will honor community heroes – from the firemen and veterans to teachers and caregivers. You can enter the Honor Heritage Sweepstakes for a chance to win a trip to New Orleans through February 26.

In addition, shoppers who purchase qualifying products may also be eligible to win instant prizes, including $50 and $25 in Live Nation® Concert Cash®.     A missionary that spreads the gospel of Jesus Christ. Whether they are in a foreign country or if they’re right here in the United States! They work long hours, low pay. They don’t seek worldly rewards, but will one day reap the fruits of their labor in Heaven 🙂

    My mom. She raised us to be humble, tolerant and accepting of others as they are. Do not put your views, your opinions on them. Learn from them, let them grow on their own.

    I consider our teachers our everyday heros. They are with our children for a large portion of the day teaching them, dealing with big & little obstacles. They become role models for our children.

    For sure our Military for giving so much of themselves and giving up so much in life. I also feel our everday heros are our teachers who give their time everyday to teach our children so they can grow to be great men and women.
