MEIJER COUPON POLICY

View Meijer’s official coupon policy online (print it if needed for reference!).    

  • Metro Detroit Meijer stores will double manufacturer coupons up to $0.50, but no more than 2 identical coupons per transaction. Additional identical coupons and any store coupons will be redeemed at face value. You may want to call your location before shopping to verify. For best savings on multiple items with coupons that will double, divide your order into multiple transactions (this is most easily done at the U-scan).
  • You can print 2 copies of each printable coupon per computer, with some exceptions. Use your back button and refresh the screen if necessary or return to the original coupon link. There is no limit on the amount of Meijer Mealbox store coupons you may print.
  • When a particular advertised sale item is out of stock, be sure to ask your cashier or a customer service assistant for a raincheck.

MEIJER MEALBOX STORE COUPONS

You may want to print a copy of the Meijer Mealbox store policy and keep it with your shopping list to show your cashier (in case they aren’t familiar with corporate policy):    

1.) Mealbox coupons may be used in addition to manufacturer coupons.    

2.) Mealbox coupons may be used each time a condition is met, which could be multiple times per transaction. (For example: a coupon for $1.00 off 2 soups can be used multiple times if you have a coupon printed and the number of soups purchased matches, i.e. 2 coupons = 4 soups.)    

3.) Mealbox coupons cannot be doubled or tripled at any time.    

4.) Stores have the right to limit the quantity of items to normal retail purchases per transaction.

    • Because it doesn’t start yet. Last week, many people were confused and were expecting the Catalina when they shopped. I was just trying to make it less confusing. 🙂

  4. There is a Zatarain Facebook coupon for $.75/2, making them just $.45 (my store doubles to $1) when paired with the Meal Box coupon. The game is a little bit of a pain to play, but it makes for some cheap jambalaya for my husband!

  5. I have learned that my Meijer (Gratiot Rd, Saginaw) has adopted the policy with their B1G1 sales and coupons that you only get the better of the two deals. For instance, the Jose Ole B1G1 that was running a week or so ago with the $1 mfr coupon meant that the $1 coupon was deducted and only $3.99 for the free item (and not the $4.99 regular price). Which meant that my coupon had been wasted. I was infuriated, but the manager explained it very politely to me so I couldn’t get too mad : ) Has anyone else been experiencing this?

    • That doesn’t seem fair at all, but with my drama last week with the 10 for 10 sale, I’m not surprised. It’s pretty strange that they have programmed their registers to actually not give us the whole value of the free item. I don’t get it. Thanks for the heads up though. Now, we won’t accidentally waste a coupon on a B1G1 sale. Thanks.

      • Yeah, I lost some coupons in the 10 for $10 sale last week too . . . and it was all because of which of my items rang up as free. Seems to me Meijer is the one playing games now.

    • With that logic, then you should be able to use two coupons, one for each item – if they are taking the coupon off the free item first then you should be able to use another coupon for the item you are paying full price – yes it would be a waste of one coupon, but the sale might make it worth it if you have a lot of coupon- it might be worth a try

      • Julie, you would think as much . . . which is why I also asked that question and was told no. Sigh. I knew the day was coming when they’d start tightening down on what they allowed with coupons.

    • check you receipt carefully!!! Meijer only take off coupon for the one you pay for, not the free one. They screw up $12 off my one receipt, from various coupons. The ones need to be watched are the meal box coupons…..often seems to be scanned, but not taken off. Check your receipts!!!!

    • In Ohio, Meijer doubles 50 cent coupons. Coupons over 50 cents but less than $1.00 get doubled to $1.00. Anything $1.00 or more is taken at face value. For instance the Luden’s cough drops will be free for me this week: 99 cents – 55 cent coupon that gets doubled to $1.00 (actually Meijer registers will take off just the 99 cents).

      • I live in Toledo and the 2 stores near me only double up to $.50. 55c and 75c are at face value…

        • I’m from the Lima, OH area. Our store only doubles to 50 c. Any coupon over that is at face value.

  17. Does anyone know the official word on using coupons with the catalina offers? Today I got a catalina for Ore-Ida frozen potatoes (not using coupons) when I bought 3 I got $2 OYNSO but when I bought the Nestle fun size candy using coupons I did not get a catalina print out.

  18. I did the Del Monte deal today and my MM wouldn’t ring up! I bought 2 cans of tomatoes, 2 cans of potatoes and 1 can of mixed vegetables and my coupon wouldn’t scan. The ridiculously cranky cashier had to push it through.

  19. There is a new mPerks coupon for BUY ONE GET ONE FREE any WHISKAS® tray any flavor, and there is a coupon on Red Plum for the same terms. Since the mPerks discount comes off automatically, and a cashier will have to enter in the discount for the physical coupon manually, will these both be free? I know Meijers is funny about using B1G1 coupons when they are having a B1G1 sale (whereas the drugstores you’d get both items free), but this seems a bit different.

I used my mealbox for the vegetables and it worked fine I had 2 coupons and I bought 10 cans of corn, plus I had 2- $1.00 manufacturer coupon but by far the best deal I got was the olive oil, got 3 bottles for free- $2.99, then I had the mealbox for $2.00 off and a $1.00 off then I got 6 bottles that were $3.89 for .89 each. I am set for a very long time!!!

  23. There is a $.75/2 Zatarain’s coupon on coupons.com. Combined with the sale ($1.45 ea) and the $1/2 Meijer Mealbox coupon, OOP (out-of-pocket) is $1.15 for two (or $.58 each).

  25. meijer had a little tag on the shelf by the nestle candy that said you’ll get $2 oyno but it didn’t print for me either – the cashier manually took care of it but it’s not always so easy to fix….

          • When I click on the coupon link on the Pompeian site, I get a message that says, “Sorry, this offer has expired. This coupon is no longer available – Thank you for your interest.” It does come up on smartsource though.

  29. Count your coupons before you give them to the cashier. I have had them not ring through all the coupons they seem to be but the number is not right on the reciept, and the meijer ones that you get for $1 off or $2 off on your next trip, are not showing up on the reciept when I check it on the way out to the parking lot. Has anyone else noticed this, I just caught it on the last 2 trips.

    • I agree…I felt I had a lot more savings than I got with my coupons. How can you be sure that the coupons are coming off like they are supposed to?

        • I asked the question about the $1 off 2 coupons and he said what happens is the discount is taken off right under the item. For instance, I had (2) $1 off (2) Velveeta Shells & Cheese, the .50 shows up under the item and not at the bottom with the coupons. Hope this helps!

      • I really don’t like the way Meijer does coupons, even when you watch the total the $ amount goes up and down before it stops. I think it is very confusing – but maybe that’s the idea!

    • That’s why I always go through the self scan. Not only can I scan my products slowly to make sure the price is the correct advertised price, but I can also scan the coupons and make sure they are all going through.

    • watch out some meijer printed coupon cannot be stack, or new one won’t come out. Check espiecally the meijer coupons, will looks like it scanned, but didn’t take off.

  30. Maybe I am the only one that thinks this is a great deal. Quilted Northern is 50% off for 6 doubles rolls, making it 2.16. There are .50 coupons on redplum and manufacturers site. So, 1.16 if store doubles and 1.66 if it does not…..

    • Yep that is right Emily. I bought 5 Post marshmallow Pebbles at $2 each and used 5 75 cent coupons=6.25. Then to much surprise I got back a $4 catalina to make it .45 each. Yippee.

  37. Used the $1/2 breakstone and the $5 off 5 participating kraft:
    When the coupon scanned, showed that it took off $5, but only took $4.58.
    Still: 2 sourcreams, 2 cream cheese and 1 kraft cheese block = $1.90 🙂

  40. crud. I thought Meijer double 3 like q’s. (I was thinking of Vg’s) anyway, lost $.50 on one of the QN Toilet Papers. Still have a few more q’s, will go back again to stock up before sale over. I was able to get 4 pompeian Olive oil (printed from the smartsource before it was gone)….the MMQ weren’t deducting and it was a whole project, but it worked….yippee for free olive oil!!!

  42. Hi, I have a $1.00/1 any Jimmy Dean product printable coupon. I can’t figure out where I got it from, but printed it this week.
