KROGER COUPON POLICY
You can now view the Kroger coupon policy for Michigan online.
Please that Kroger’s coupon policy clearly states in each store ad: Limit 3 Manufacturer’s Coupons will be Doubled (up to $0.50) per Like Items Purchased.
NOTE on Printable Coupons: Some Kroger stores have been denying the redemption of any printable coupon over $1, so proceed with caution when using printable coupons. You can view/print the Kroger Print-at-Home Coupon Acceptance Policy here, which does not specifically restrict the use of printables over $1.
You WILL need a Kroger card to take advantage of these offers; sign up for one at the Customer Service desk if you do not have one!
KROGER SHOPPING TIPS
SELECT Kroger stores outside of Macomb (Grand Blanc, Howell, Frankenmuth and more – view a full list here) will double manufacturer’s coupons up to $1.00! This can mean a great savings (and some potential free items each week). If your travels happen to take you north, check the Kroger ad (search by zip code) for the areas you’re passing through. You just might want to pack your coupons, too! Visit 1-2-3 Save for matchups that include doubles up to $1!
Take your own bags to Kroger and you’ll receive a credit for $0.05 per bag used on your shopping order. You may need to remind your cashier to deduct your credit, however, as the computer will not do it automatically!
Load digital coupons to your Kroger card before you shop: visit Cellfire, P&G eSaver, Shortcuts and Kroger Digital Coupons. Each website lists the e-coupons that can be loaded onto your Kroger Card so that you can save even more! E-coupons are limited to one use per card and will NOT double. Kroger digital coupons may be combined with actual paper manufacturer coupons, according to this response from corporate (the other digital coupon sites restrict it according to policy):
Each store location has the option of using a store or manufacturer’s coupon in addition to a digital coupon – as long as the value of the coupon(s) used does not exceed the purchase price of the item(s).
This post is a proud part of Be Centsable’s Grocery Gathering. Visit the Grocery Gathering for a HUGE free listing of national and local store matchups from around the country, including CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Target, Walmart and more!

Anyone know where the Food Should Taste Good Chips are located? Checked the Howell store yesterday in the natural/organic section and couldn’t find them.
Beth G. says
NM, went back tonight and found them on the very top corner shelf in the Nature’s Market area, I think they must have been out yesterday.
jen says
anyone know if i buy different flavors of vitamin water if i can double more than 3 coupons? I have heard that works, but never tried it…
Jolyn says
That used to work at one store I know, but lately they’ve been pretty strict with doubling ONLY 3.
Emily says
I found them at the Jackson store in the natures market. They are new to
the Jackson store, maybe Howell hasnt put them out yet.
Missy says
I received a catalina promo that states if you buy (2) Dan-o-nino 6 pks, get a $1.00 OYNO.
Buy 3, get $1.50
Buy 4 or more and get $2.00
Use the $1.50/1 coupon and combine with the mega deal for some cheap yogurt!
Beth G. says
Can’t remember exactly when I loaded this to my Plus card, so not sure if it is still available to load, but I have a “$1 off one (1) Energizer® Max (AA/AAA-8, AA/AAA-10, AA-12, AA/AAA-16, AA/AAA-20, C-4, D-4, 9V-2)” that I got through the Kroger website/softcoin. I think this will stack as a store coupon with the MFC from 6/13 SS?
Also, I was able to print the Fage coupon 3 times – the back button did not work, if you have a little drop down button right near your back button, and choose the very first Fage Dairy line (furthest from the top), you’ll get the page to check the box to print the coupon. After the 3rd print there is no box to check.
Coley says

Emily says

Melanie says
The pizza and bacon flavors of the Kraft Mac & Cheese cups are cheaper- only $.19 during the Mega Event.
Melissa says
I was looking at the Matchups and had a question ? When I clipped my coupon for the olay total body wash I noticed that there was a B1G1 in the insert as well. Can I get 2 olay total body washes for .27 Has anyone tried it ?
Tashena Lynette Gonzales says
anybody purchase the Smartwater? I didn’t see them in the Grand Blanc ad nor were they marked in the store as on sale.
Jolyn says
I haven’t purchased it, but it’s listed in the ad online.
Marianne says
When I was there the Smartwater was on an endcap.
Amanda H. says
On the Olay total effects body wash can I also use the BOGO olay bar of soap in conjunction with the $4 off?
alice says
Well I just made my trip to Kroger here in Owosso. The cashier tells me I can’t use e-coupon with regular coupon. I said since when I have used them before but she stuck to the rules so I said take off olay, razor, rasin bran and I can’t remember what else. I guess I will be taking the e-coupons off my Kroger card as all the things I had to buy I had a much better manufacture coupon than the e-coupon. I just glad I don’t have a whole cart of stuff at one time when using coupons. I think stores make up rules as they go.
I can’t really complain I got around $70. and paid $25.
Jolyn says
Sorry about that – according to Kroger digital e-coupons, it is the store’s choice. That makes it hard to predict. I know it’s frustrating to be surprised at the register like that. From what I know, stores that double up to $1 (like Owosso) have a tendency to watch your coupons and e-coupons far more closely.
Tammy says
I just came from the Owosso store as well. One item I had on digital coupon and the actual coupon did come off. However, the other 2 the digital coupons did not. Like the Smart Balance milk I was getting because it would be free not paying $1.39 for a half gallon of milk. I just went to the digital coupons and it still shows the energizer is loaded on my card and that is the one that did show it came off on the receipt and the other 2 I loaded on the card this morning are no longer showing on the card or used. I will not be using them any longer it is ridiculous to expect to pay one price and have it be another. I also wish they had price scanners in their store.
Esther in Mid-Michigan says
Alice,
I also shop at the Owosso, Kroger and I loaded the Olay body wash e-coupon to my card and had the $4 mfg coupon. My cashier scanned through all my coupons and the e-coupon and the mfg coupon were deducted! I have had the problem that some e-coupons seem to disappear into a black hole and then re-appear at a later date. The safest thing is to check your Kroger account before you go shopping to make sure the items you loaded are still showing up. As for the cashier/s that tell you that you can’t use an e-coupon with a mfg coupon is not right.
I generally go the male cashiers when possible because they don’t act like “coupon police” when I hand them a stack of coupons.
Beth G. says
Saved 96% on my trip today!! 27 items (24 had coupons), paid $3.56 🙂 Would have gotten even more but they were already out of half of the Mega event items I wanted, this was at the Howell store where my $1 coupons double…
Chrys says
WOW WOW WOW! That’s all I can say about the killer deals at Kroger this week! Thanks Jolyn for the TERRIFIC match-up!!!!!!!
Deb says
A cashier at the Ann Arbor Kroger turned down my $1.50 MQ stating,”they aren’t allowed to accept IP coupons over $1″. I get the feeling it all depends on which cashier you get.
Kristen says
Pepsi is still generating a free Redbox code. I bought 7 and got two codes so I assume it is a buy 3 promotion.
Emily says
I know when I use digital coupons I load them to my card at least one day in
advance just to make sure they are loaded when i go shopping. As far as certain cashiers not taking paper w/ digital you may have to educate them. I know this
is not always fun. I try to be patient, firm and kind. I always thought you could
do both but have now learned that cellfire and shortcuts are not allowed to be
combined and kroger and pgesaver can. Just print Jolyns letter she received from Kroger and carry it with your coupons. If the cashier wont do it ask for a manager and show them the letter. Stores still have to follow a corporate coupon policy, IP are really the only thing that is up to store managers and that
is because of loss due to fake or copied coupons. If they take them they still follow coupon guidelines. I dont usually have any problems at Howell if I shop at night.
Deb says
Are some Mega Event items not advertised in the sale paper and you just unexpectedly find them in the store? The Q-tips were not in my sale paper so I was wondering if I could count on finding them as part of the Mega Event in the store.
Jolyn says
Yes, MANY of them are advertised with signs in the store (very few of them are actually included in the ad). Some of them have no store signage at all, but show up with a (+) next to them on your receipt to indicate they’re part of the Mega Event. Some stores have a checklist near the ads listing all participating items.
Judy says
That was my question. Yesterday went to the Riverland/Van Dyke and the Mentos was marked more than $1 with no sign and the scrub sponge was 1.69 with no sign about the mega sale. I ended up not getting these items and switching out to products that I knew for sure were going to come off. They didn’t have a list like they usually do. I guess my question is: How do you know they are going to come off for the mega event if they aren’t advertised? Also would that price go into effect store to store or only random stores? I spent $3 more yesterday because I was hesitant to do my original deal since it was marked. Thanks!
Jolyn says
Emily, a fellow Michigan Kroger shopper, confirmed those deals when she purchased them this week and noticed the + sign next to them on the receipt. It should be effective at all Kroger stores in Michigan.
Judy says
Boy it would help if Kroger would put the sign next to these items at all their stores so we wouldn’t have to second guess ourselves. I probably should have been brave and just did it to see what would happen, but I didn’t. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything that you do in order to help my family stay within budget.
Kelly says
Judy- I’ve taken items up to Customer Service and asked if they were included – they will scan the item 10 times to see if it comes up!!

I saw Kangaroo Pita Flat Bread and Pocket Bread on sale 2/$3.00, these are normally priced $2.59 a package so a great buy! The Pita Flat Bread is delicious toasted in a skillet with olive oil.

Kroger carries Blue Dog Bakery dog treats, I couldn’t find them at other stores. There was a $1 printable on coupons.com. I bought a box today with a final cost of $3.19 with the coupon. I wanted to try these after finding a flour worm/moth in our Milkbones box, along with bristle hair in a Milkbone treat. We’ve bought Milkbones for years, but after two of these bad experiences, I’m very wary now. Maybe part of the problem is that Milkbones do not have sealed inside packaging or a sealed overwrap on the box. I don’t need this problem in my pantry! I plan to send a note to Milkbones.

Thanks for all the matchups!! : )

Does anyone know if any stores in the Macomb area double to $1? I do not believe that Canal/Garfield does – not sure on 23/Hayes or 22/Card.
Jolyn says
NO. There’s not a single Kroger store in the Macomb area that will double up to $1. Look at the end of the Kroger post each week for a link to locations that will double to $1.

I few more By10g$5 deals for your list:
Scotch Packaging Tape $2.00 – 50(wyb10) – 1.00(.50/1)doubled 5/16ss = .50
Starbucks Ice Cream Pints $2.47 – .50(wyb10) -.75(starbucksicecream.com) = $1.22 YUM!
Also, the in reference to the Vitamin Water question; I found it in the organic section cooler (weird right?)

There’s now $1/miracle whip coupon on their facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/miraclewhip
Michelle says
I can’t see it stated on the add, but how many Mega Events can you do. Usually it’s 3 per transaction.
Jolyn says
No limit of Mega Event offers has been stated. Look for a sign in the store if you’re concerned, since some locations will choose to limit the number of items. I haven’t heard of any limits on this sale, however.
Emily says
campbellskitchen.com has .50/2 spaghettios
free after mega event price- I cant remember if they are .49 or .50
after .50 off
Marianne says
Not a super great deal but for those who don’t like Kraft dressing the Wishbone is part of the $5/10 reg 2.49 to 1.99 and our local q was .75 off 1 (I live in the land of doubles) so .49 per bottle.
There is also a .50/1 if you sign up on their web site.
Jolyn I took your print out to the store with me, I find these Kroger trips and counting the products a challenge still and I am not a q newbie, just a Kroger newbie (I shop at Meijer) so what a great help you are to all of us–many thanks!
I am going back for my 5th Kroger trip later today, this am I saved 67, paid 21. Woot!
Sharon says
Thanks for all your hard work. I don’t leave for the grocery store until I’ve checked your list to find the bargains. I really appreciate what you do.

Beth G. says
If any one wants more Fage coupons, you can print $1/1 by becoming a Facebook fan. The fine print says you can only print 1, but you can actually print it 3 times like you can through their main website. Was able to print 3 of the 50c off Q’s and 3 of the Facebook Q’s.

I went to the Grand Blanc store and they were wiped out of almost everything!! I was miffed that I drove out there to get skunked on all the Lorel, lever, and several other items!!! Uugghhh and if you get a rain check it will not take the 5 dollar mega deal off if it comes in after sunday!!
Jolyn says
It depends how the store writes the raincheck. Some stores will write them according to the final price. I haven’t asked for a Kroger Mega Event raincheck for a while (since they haven’t had one for a while).
Mary says
Thanks Jolyn — I’m going to try one last time tomorrow to see if anything has been restored and if not I’ll get rain checks! Love you site and “in site” on all the deals!!
Cathy says
Went to Kroger @ 25 & Dequindre in Shelby Township and the Mentos gum was included in the buy 10 but it was still $1 (did not take an additional 50 cents off). Also the Ultimate Dove was not included in the sale only the regular Dove :o(
