_______________________________________________

*DOUBLE COUPONS – This deal requires a coupon to DOUBLE at Meijer. Note that Metro Detroit Meijer stores will double only 2 identical coupons (up to $0.50) per transaction. See additional notes below.

MEIJER COUPON POLICY

View Meijer’s official coupon policy online here.

  • Metro Detroit Meijer stores will double manufacturer coupons up to $0.50, but no more than 2 identical coupons per transaction. Additional identical coupons and any store coupons will be redeemed at face value. You may want to call your location before shopping to verify. For best savings on multiple items with coupons that will double, divide your order into multiple transactions (this is most easily done at the U-scan).
  • You can print 2 copies of each printable coupon per computer, with some exceptions. Use your back button and refresh the screen if necessary or return to the original coupon link. There is no limit on the amount of Meijer Mealbox store coupons you may print.
  • When a particular advertised sale item is out of stock, be sure to ask your cashier or a customer service assistant for a raincheck.

MEIJER MEALBOX STORE COUPONS

You may want to print a copy of the Meijer Mealbox store policy and keep it with your shopping list to show your cashier (in case they aren’t familiar with corporate policy):

1.) Mealbox coupons may be used in addition to manufacturer coupons.

2.) Mealbox coupons may be used each time a condition is met, which could be multiple times per transaction. (For example: a coupon for $1.00 off 2 soups can be used multiple times if you have a coupon printed and the number of soups purchased matches, i.e. 2 coupons = 4 soups.)

3.) Mealbox coupons cannot be doubled or tripled at any time.

4.) Stores have the right to limit the quantity of items to normal retail purchases per transaction.

Thanks! You might also want to note that there was an additional Mrs. Dash coupon for $1 off ground beef for buying Mrs. Dash. Might be a good week to use it, even if the ground beef is not on sale (I don’t mark my ads, I clip them, but I am positive it was the same insert)

    • Angie says

      June 19, 2010 at 6:30 PM

Yes, both coupons were from the same SS (5-16). Yeah!!!

I got this cat today… canisters and singles are pictured, so it pairs with the sale.

Buy any 3 or more Kool-Aid or Tang Drink Mixes (excludes Kool-Aid 2 qt. envelopes) in one transaction, get a coupon for 1 FREE Kool-Aid Fun Fizz Drink Drops (5 ct.) on your next shopping trip. Valid 6/20-7/17.

      Thank you! 🙂

  3. Erin says

    June 18, 2010 at 8:43 PM

this may be a silly question….. but, i like the yoplait deal… BUT 20 yogurts is an awful lot to eat before expiring for me… can yogurt be frozen?

    • Jolyn says

      June 18, 2010 at 8:53 PM

I thought people often freeze the Whips variety and eat it like ice cream. I don’t think the regular will fare as well, but they’d be like pudding/yogurt pops! It can be frozen, but you want to eat it frozen, I believe.

      • LeeAnn says

        June 18, 2010 at 10:15 PM

We freeze the plain yougart 32 oz containers all the time. My husband prefers it frozen. Taste’s & looks like sorbet. I have found it only lasts about 10 days in the freezer then once it thaws its is quite runny.

        • Erin says

          June 18, 2010 at 11:19 PM

it only lasts 10 days in the freezer?? hmm…

          • K says

            June 20, 2010 at 11:07 AM

We freeze yogurt, add fruit, dump in the blender and make a fantastic milkshake 🙂

    • Angie says

      June 19, 2010 at 6:31 PM

Yes and the kids love it too!!!

    • Terra says

      June 20, 2010 at 3:21 PM

We freeze yogurt all the time and have kept it frozen for months. The consistancy is a little runnier when it’s thawed but the taste is pretty much the same. I especially do it when there is yogurt marked 75% off because it expires in a few days. It definitely works well in blended drinks as someone else has said.

  4. Erin says

    June 18, 2010 at 11:23 PM

oh— i was also going to comment about the Skippy… there’s a .75/2 internet coupon that was available at some point over the past few weeks, expires middle of July… will make that deal a little nicer… (i wish the meijer coupon was available for just a couple more days!!)

    • Jolyn says

      June 19, 2010 at 8:22 AM

I was disappointed about the Mealbox coupons expiring, too. 🙁

  5. Marie says

    June 19, 2010 at 12:06 AM

i went to meijer tonight. and the guy at the check-out told me that because of all the fraud in coupons lately, meijer might stop doubling coupons. not sure if this even makes sense. has anyone else heard this? or is this something commonly said and never done? just curious. i for one would be very sad if this happened.

    • Tracy says

      June 21, 2010 at 5:37 PM

Many southwest Michigan stores stopped doubling about a year and half ago.

  6. Laura says

    June 19, 2010 at 8:52 AM

Just wanted to say THANKS for all your time with this – it’s so, so helpful to me!!! Also, one tip: I no longer have children in diapers but did use the $2 Pampers wipes coupon and purchased the sensitive variety (no fragrance). At my Meijer store they were $2.18. So, for $.18 I got a package of wipes that my teen daughter can use for her hands when using makeup – otherwise I end up with brownish foundation on my towels – eww. She uses normal make up remover for her face, of course, but these cheap wipes are great for getting the foundation off her fingers. Happy day!

    • Maria says

      June 22, 2010 at 10:47 AM

I don’t have any kids, but I like to keep a container of wipes in my car. They’re great for quick clean ups and I use them to freshen up after a long walk at the park. I also took advantage of the 18 cent deal. They’ll be going to some co-workers who have kids or grandkids. Nobody is going to turn down free wipes when they have little ones!

    • Donna says

      June 25, 2010 at 6:20 PM

I send wipes to my son-in-law, who is a Marine and deployed to afghanistan. They use wipes for bathing, they do not have facilities to take showers and very much dependent on us sending them. Any serviceman deployed would appreciate all the wipes you can send them!

There’s not a current Skippy coupon available, or I’d definitely list it! There were some available for printing last month, but they’ve since disappeared. Only those who printed last month would have them to spend.

I’m A Midland girl also and I try to do most of my shopping at Kroger in Bay City or Saginaw. They double to $1 and I find some great stuff. They don’t make me feel like I’m stealing either. Honest me always gets that feeling a Meijer in Midland. Meijer is getting very picky. I think we should complain to the manager. Target also is great about taking coupons. I try to not give my business to places that make me feel uncomfortable becuse I’m trying to save a buck!!

        • Jolyn says

          June 23, 2010 at 2:10 PM

It might help if those of you who shop (or used to shop) Midland Meijer contacted corporate about the way this store is treating couponers. If enough of you point out the problem, Meijer will eventually make something happen. Other shoppers have had luck sitting down with the manager directly as well.

          • Tracy N. says

            June 25, 2010 at 9:47 PM

I have sent a message to meijer on their website. They have contacted me and are forwarding the message to the store manager. I encourage those of you who want to continue using coupons at Meijer to do the same before they refuse to accepting any printables.

I used earths best with my first son, made my own baby food for my 2nd, and this time I mostly bought beechnut. It seems fine, and they often have $4/10 sales. When I registered on their website a couple months back, they mailed me coupons for a free box of cereal and 2 or 3 jars of food!

I always rotated between Gerber & Beech-Nut, depending on which was on sale. Beech-Nut does send lots of coupons via email (they’ll come monthly when you register online), and my kids didn’t seem to care which brand we bought. 🙂 And IMO, their cereal boxes were much more user-friendly than Gerber.

Was at Meijer today and got an unusual CAT and wanted to share. I am not sure which of my purchases produced this CAT so maybe we can figure it out together!

    I bought:
    General Merchandise:
    (2) pairs of girls tights
    (2) leotards
    (1) skirt
    (1) girls accessory
*daughter is starting dance next month!
    (1) Meijer brand sleep aid (100ct)

    GROCERY
Minute Maid-the big juice box pack for $9.99
    (2) Meijer brand chips $2 ea.
    (2) Gregory’s Boxed Iced Tea ($4.79 ea)

The CAT I received was for a FREE 8.5 X 11 everyday photo book expires on 7/24/10 and must be made in the Meijer Photo Center.

Any ideas which item could have generated this CAT?

    • Jolyn says

      June 21, 2010 at 5:30 PM

      June 22, 2010 at 10:17 AM

I just found the $0.50 Mt Olive Blinkie machine coupons at Kroger – they’re marked do not double and the code begins with 9, so the computer won’t double them for you at Meijer. Still a good deal at $1.00/jar!

    • Jolyn says

      June 22, 2010 at 10:39 AM

At the Canton store, the Malt-o-Meal Blueberry Muffin Top flavored cereal is on clearance for $1.19/bag. If you use the MB $1.00/2, along with (2) of the $0.75 coupons from Jolyn’s link, the deal turns into a money maker.

    $1.19 x 2 = $2.38
    -$1.00 MB = $1.38
    -$1.50 manf = $0.12 MM

You need to hand the cashier the MB coupon first before scanning your manf coupons, or it won’t work out correctly.

  30. Teresa says

    June 22, 2010 at 3:03 PM

Courtney – Home Depot and Lowes did Kingsford deals Memorial weekend. I would expect a similar deal for the 4th. Lowes was BOGO free, $8 per bag, limit 4 bags total. So $4 a bag. Home Depot ended up being just a bit more in their price from what I remember.

There were some printables out there, not sure how I got them – Buy Kingsford and you could get a free bottle of Hidden Valley Ranch or a Gladware product. Obviously won’t work at Lowes, but if you do buy it at the grocery you could get that deal

    • Courtney says

      June 22, 2010 at 9:54 PM

Thank you Teresa. I wouldn’t have thought to look there, but I will definitely keep an eye out for a good sale next week.

Jolyn ~ Do you advise us to always scan our Meijer Mealbox coupons before our manuf. coupons? I have been having a lot of trouble with getting the MMB coupons to scan without cashier help. The cashiers in U-Scan do say that the MMB ones often don’t scan on their own, so maybe it doesn’t matter either way. Thanks for your help.

      • Jolyn says

        June 22, 2010 at 10:04 PM

I’ve found that almost every Mealbox coupon is flagged at Uscan for cashier intervention. It’s still not a bad idea to scan Mealbox coupons first, since they can’t be adjusted down (if necessary) like a manufacturer coupon can. I usually have better luck in a regular checkout (as opposed to the Uscan). It’s just my experience, but I think coupons can sometimes be more closely scrutinized at the Uscan.
