I tried doing this earlier today. In theory, I think it should work. MM (store coupon), BOGO, and $1.50 off the box you are or are not getting free?? I wrote my first comment in the wrong section. Everything went fine until the end of the transaction and then the register took off all my $1.50 coupons?? I just got them back and brought them home. This should have worked. OK, I went directly to the Purex website and was able to print one copy of the 35 cent coupon. Make sure the pop-up blocker is turned off for this website. I think I might have lost a printing because of this.
I sent this coupon to 2 different friends & then I was able to print more of the $0.35 coupons.
I also noticed that Musselman’s applesauce is on sale 3/$5. There is a $1/3 Mealbox coupon, and $1/2 coupons on the musselman’s site (http://musselmans.com/Coupon.aspx). If you buy 4 and use 2 of the man coupons & 1 meal box it would be 4/$3.66. Not fabulous, but we go through a lot of applesauce around here when fresh fruit isn’t in season.

Check around the pectin/canning section. At my Meijer, there were tearpad q’s for FREE sugar when you buy two of these products! So, free sugar and a cat sounds like a pretty good deal if you’re planning on doing some canning!

Freshlike is a birdseye product. I was able to use it at Mejers with two Meal box coupons. It did not scan throught at first but the cashier took it off when i showed her that it was not a steamfresh and it was a birdseye brand.
I just wanted to make a note to everyone, in the 5/2 coupons there were coupons for a FREE 16-18oz bag of kitten chow. I know that many of you you buy multiple newspapers like I do and even for the people who only get one this would still make a GREAT DONATION to your local Animal Shelter/Humane Society/Adopt-A-Pet. @Stefanie, If Meijers is out of the kitten chow I found it at Hillers. The price is $2.19 so it is the max amount of the coupon, so you only have to pay tax.

@Misty, Yes, I do believe that pet foods are taxable. The packages of kitten food were $1.79 at my Meijer which would make them cost about 11 cents in taxes, so you would be required to pay the 11 cents on each. Hope this helps.
Thanks, I missed that one! I’ve gotten about 40 cans of free dog food in the past week to donate. There was also a coupon awhile back for free dog or cat food, I think it was Pro Plan by Purina? Has anyone found the product? I’ve looked at Kroger and Meijer and they don’t have it. I also don’t have any pets!
@Linda, They carry Purina Pro Plan at Petsmart. They accept all coupons and never give you a problem with the amount. I work with a rescue and walked in one day and took over 125 cans of mighty dog, 22 bags of Pro Plan and 20 bags of Milk Bone chews all with only paying tax and when they found out it was a donation they were actually excited!!! I can’t seem to get the freshlike veggie manf. coupon or the musselman’s manf coupons to print. Anyone else having troubles?
Are you using Internet Explorer or another browser? That might be some of the issue.

@Jolyn, I’m using IE. The apple sauce says I already printed the coupon, which I haven’t and the veggie’s says there are no more available.
Also having trouble with the freshlike coupon. Message says missing or invalid parameters on both my computers and printers.
There’s also a $1/2 Manwich coupon from that ConAgra coupon booklet. Makes them .39 each!
When I was checking out someone left there print outs still at the u scan. It says I have 10.00 off my next purchase when I use the Meijer Pharmacy……any tips for me on what to get????……kinda new at this coupon thing!
@Elizabeth, if it’s the $10 pharmacy coupon I get frequently, it only gives you a $10 OYNO when you refill or transfer a prescription. I’ve been getting the $20 OYNO pharm cats lately and have moved 5 prescritptions from Wags to Meijer. Saved $100 on groceries doing so.

If it says something about ‘when you use the Meijer Pharmacy’ , then it’s good on an already-existing prescription that you have with them. (For example – I just bought a refill through them & used one of those coupons – it was great!) The wording on the catalina/coupon says ‘ redeem this print at the Meijer pharmacy with a new, transferred OR refill prescription…’
Just a note: There are some others catalinas/coupons that say ‘when you transfer a prescription or bring in a new prescription’ – those are different. You can’t use those on any pre-existing prescriptions.

I tried to get the Freshlike coupon from both IE and Firefox and it didn’t work on either.
I had the ConAgra $1.50/4 IP from a while back. It is good for several different products including Manwich!!
I bought 3 Breakstones Cottage Doubles at a Meijer in the Toledo, OH area and did not receive a $3.00 coupon.
Can I use the Meijer mealbox freshlike coupon with the $1 off 4 Birdseye vegetable coupon or is that a different product?
Elizabeth, you have to have a prescription to drop off at the pharmacy by the date marked on the coupon in order for you to get that $10 off anything in the store.
@LeAnn, LeAnn, I used the $1 off 4 birdseye with the meijer mb freshlike coupon on Sunday and it worked. Got 8 bags @.25 each.
I was in Meijer on Saturday for their supper saver sale. I wanted to get the general mills cereal. I had coupons for 55 cents off each box I bought which was five. I then had a Meijer coupon for 2 dollars off five boxes. In the past I have used this in combination with a manufactures coupon. The cashier was going really slow with my coupons to make sure they went through and then told me I was double couponing since the Meijer coupon was a manufactures coupon. Was I double couponing?
Usually, the $2.00 off 5 cereal coupons are store coupons, but you’d have to look at the coupon to know for sure (those coupons are labeled across the top and would have no redemption address). If that was the case and you were only using a store and manufacturer coupon on your items, you were doing nothing wrong. If she couldn’t understand the reasoning of your coupon use, the best you can do is to kindly and calmly ask to speak to a manager about it. After the fact, you could always take that coupon with your receipt to customer service and see if they can offer any assistance – most likely they’d be able to give you the $2 you were missing.
My other question is how do you respond to the casheir if I was not double couponing. Somes times I find it is better to walk away and not make a big deal about it but I could have saved two more dollars.
@Jill, If you can get it, I would suggest carrying a copy of Meijer’s coupon policy with you for your store- that way you can show her in Meijer’s print that you are allowed to use a Meijer Mealbox and a Manufacturer’s coupon on the same item. If the cashier still persists, a trip to customer service or a call to Meijer corporate usually helps. Sometimes you get knowledgeable cashiers, sometimes you don’t, but I try to stick with cashiers that either know the coupon policy well or will be patient with me and my stack of coupons and do their best to work it out.
A couple of things: The Deli Fresh Lunchmeat don’t forget the Kraft Lunch Spot coupons that are Meijer C’s $1/2 which would make the lunchmeat free with the $2/1. 2nd: In my Free Press there was a flyer for $1 off Meijer Hamburger Buns w/purchase of (3) Manwich which would make the buns .28.
My Meijer doesn’t have the McCormick GrillMates Seasoning’s for $.99, they are $1.29. Which Meijer’s have you found this for $.99? I bought some extra coupons and would like to find someplace where I can get this for free with the coupons.

@Marianne, I saw a sign for it at the Meijers at 8 mile and Haggerty, but I didn’t have my coupons with me so I thought I would go back later this week. It looked like most of the GM cereal was on sale for $2.50 per box so I was going to look through my coupons for some deals!
@Marianne, I was at Meijer on 26Mile and I-94. I bought $20 worth of General Mills cereal (which also includes Kix), Betty Crocker, and Yoplait items (I think Nature Valley products are also included). I received a $10 check out coupon, plus an extra $1 coupon. There is no purchase limit for using the coupons. I used them right away on the rest of my groceries.
The sunday newspaper also had a sheet of meijer coupons in it that had a $1 off meijer hamburger buns with the purchase of 3 cans of manwich!!!!
RE: $2.00 Kraft 100 Calorie Cheese Bites…
I was at Meijer today and was told that the Cheese Bites are NOT included in the price drop. They’re ringing up somewhere around $2.57 per pack. Does anyone find them @$2 a pack any other Meijer this week??

@Diana, They were 2.79 yesterday at the Meijer in Royal Oak. I wasn’t sure if they were still on price drop or not, and of course all of thier scanners were out of order. I went ahead and got them anyway since my daughter has become an addict, but I think I’m switiching over to cottage cheese if I make amy more trips in this week (which will depend on whether there is another super sale).
If anyone is a vocalpoint member and got the Puffs plus Lotion .50/1 coupons a month or so ago, they’re on price drop for $1.29. Not free, but not bad at .29 a box when the coupon doubles.

Those coupons are only available currently to Facebook fans. You can always create a “dummy account” in a fake name and use it just for coupon availability. I have Facebook-resistant friends who haven’t been able to resist the deals and that’s how they’ve solved it.

I tried to use them all this morning. I used the $1.50 off first (4 boxes), the BOGO next (4), then MM (4). Should have totaled 36 cents for 8 boxes. The register took the $1.50 coupons off, but when my transaction was all done, it but them back on, so I had to pay $6.36 which isn’t so great a deal. I got my coupons back thinking it wasn’t a big deal, but when I got home and thought about it some more, I was like….um, I should take the coupons back in next time and see if they will give me the money. When thinking through this, it should work, right? I think maybe I should have done the BOGO last….thoughts on this, anyone?
Here’s my thinking on this (keeping in mind that I always try to stay between the lines of ethical coupon use and intent):
A B1G1 coupon requires the purchase of TWO items (otherwise, it’s worthless) and is tagged to those 2 items (similarly to how a $2.00/2 coupon is coded). Using a $1.50/1 coupon as well would require the purchase of another box, but since you’re not purchasing another box, the computer is only allowing the use of one coupon on the 2 items (since the B1G1 coupon requires 2 items). Your coupon value is disappearing – and the coupon wasted – because you’re stacking manufacturer coupons. The $1.50 won’t deduct from an item that’s already been given to you for free. (The store coupon poses no problem, however).
It might work at other stores, but it hasn’t been working at Meijer. In my opinion, that’s why. And it’s not a coupon combination that you’ll see me recommend because I believe it to be outside of ethical coupon use. Others may disagree with me, but I believe it’s my duty as a blogger not to knowingly lead anyone astray or encourage them to do anything that might be illegal in terms of coupon use.
I went back to Meijer tonight and while I was there, asked the customer service lady who seems to know couponing well. She said that since I purchased 8 total boxes that all the coupons should have worked. Four for the BOGO and four for the $1.50. I told her I had been thinking it through today and wasn’t sure if this was correct or not. She said I was correct and gave me my money for the coupons. I had been taught that as long as you are buying one product, you can still use a Man. coupon for the one you are purchasing, but I see the point you are making. Something to think about. This is the only time I have had trouble at Meijer using coupons this way. Like you, I want to be honest in my couponing. Sometimes it can get very confusing, but I do the best I can. Does anyone know where we can get Marcal Small Steps toilet paper products? I have coupons from an earlier paper for free single rolls of their toilet paper. Also have a $2.00/ 4 roll packs or more. Want to use these before they expire!! Any suggestions?
Also – The mailer that some of us got for Meijer Customer Appreciation had a $1.50 off a 4 pack of Scott tp. Might be worth a trip to the toilet paper aisle, if you have manufacturer’s coupons still.

I had been hanging on to some high value Marcal Small Steps coupons too until I found that the only place near me that carries is is Staples (our Kroger’s stopped carrying it early in the year), and it is really expensive stuff. I don’t even bother with those coupons anymore. (I’m up in Saginaw, MI)
Jolyn, I wanted to ask your opinion on something. I have been getting a stock pile of cleaning products since following you and I am tossing around the idea of filling a laundry basket with the cleaners, laundry soap, fabric sheets with some dish towels for a bridal shower. Have you done this before?
I’ve done it/seen it done as a moving basket, which is basically the same idea you had. It’s a very practical gift idea and a nice way to gift using some of your stockpile! Kathy at Makin It In MI is very talented with gift baskets, so you might want to ask her as well! 🙂
I noticed tonight at my Maumee Meijer that the Kraft miracle whip is 2.69. On Friday the 14th there will be a mmb coupon for $1 off 1 to make it 1.69. There is also a $1/2 lunch spot coupon. If you buy 3 miracle whip with those 2 coupons it is $1.35 a jar plus get free 5# potatoes. That makes for a stock up price for me. Also I noticed that there will be an oscar mayer mmb coupon coming out on the 14th Friday $1/2. Buy 4 at 1.25 and use 2 of the $1/2 mmb coupons to make them 75 cents each plus free hot dog buns. Might be a stock up price too.

What is mmb? If it is Meijer Mealbox how can we use a Meijer Mealbox and the Kraft Lunch Spot coupon when they are both Meijer coupons? I thought we could only do this if it was a Mfg. and Meijer.
MMB = Meijer Mealbox. I thought the same thing intitially, but you’re not combining/overlapping store coupons – you’re buying 3 products with a $1/1 and a $1/2 (the $1/1 is limited to one per order) to get free potatoes.
Cascadian Farms frozen 10oz. vegetables and 16oz. potatoes are on Price Drop to $2 through 5/30. There have been $1 printable coupons, and their website currently has one. I used four $1 coupons on 4 bags of frozen potatoes and got them for $1 per bag.
Curiously, I received a $1 Catalina Store Coupon from Meijer and General Mills. The only General Mills products I purchased were the Cascadian Farms and 2 cups of Yoplait Greek yogurt, so I don’t know which product triggered this surprise Catalina.
A couple of matchups I felt were worth adding:
CA Pizza Kitchen Pizza is on sale for 4.98 – used 2 $1/1MFC & 2 $1/1 Mjr Lunch Spot cpn (cashier let me use 2, but they say only one per customer) – $1 cat it’s $2.48 ea for 2.
CoffeeMate Liquid Creamer 16oz: $1.87 reg price – used 2 .50/1(5/2SS) & $1/2Mealbox = .37 each for 2.
Meijer Gold Taco Sauce 1.99 reg price – $1/1Mealbox =$.99ea..while this isn’t a “steal” I really love this taco sauce, even better than the name brands.
For the Nab 100 cal pack deals I used the $1/2 Ritz cracker lunch spot cpn for 2 Ritz 100 cal – not sure if everyone else was already on to that one! If you don’t have one of the lunch spot cpn books you can usually pick them up at the sample stations on wknds – they’re good ’til 7/10.
There was also a Meijer coupon available in the Meijer mealbox hand out that was available in stores a couple weeks ago. Good for $1 off 2 Oscar Mayer Deli fresh Meat or Bologna 7-16 oz. Paired with the sale and the printable coupons, this should make for some dirt cheap meat!
FYI: The $1.50/4 coupon for Manwich can also be used on four Marie Callender’s frozen meals which are 5 for $10 this week. Makes them $1.63 each.
According to Mommysnacks.net the Breakstone and South Beach Bar catalinas ended 5/12, but you say they are good through 5/15. Is there a way to verify this somehow before I go? (I know I can look for the catalina signs while at the store.)

I just noticed that I had a coupon for the Michelina’s breakfast snack for $.50 for 1 purchase. It will double. They are only $1.00 at Meijer so you will get them free. They run up on sale for $.89 so it is a money maker. I clipped them at the same time that with the other Michelina’s coupon – sorry I don’t remember what source and date.

@Christina, I bought two last week, in one of those specialty cheese refrigerator areas near the produce/deli area. I just tried it because it was a good deal, and now I need to see about some ways to use it, because I didn’t care for the flavor directly from the package. Do you eat it straight from the package??
