I have had this happen to me twice now, so I want to warn others. Since Meijer only doubles up to two identical coupons, I am very careful about not “wasting” a third identical coupon in my transaction. Well, I used (2) 40-cent Yoplait coupons and (2) 50-cent Yoplait coupons in one order, assuming they all would double. When the $0.50 ones didn’t double, I assumed it was because they were internet printables and they were marked “do not double or triple.” But, once I took a closer look at my receipt I noticed that both the 40-cent and 50-cent coupons had identical barcodes, and that is the reason why they didn’t double. Very frustrating to say the least! So, now I’ll be sure to check the coupon bar codes, even when the coupon values are different. I’m still not sure how the bar codes can be identical, when the coupon values aren’t even identical.
Also, can anyone help me out…
The Yoplait internet coupons had a barcode that started with a “5,” so they should have doubled automatically, right? I haven’t used the Yoplait internet coupons before, but other internet coupons marked “do not double” have always doubled automatically in U-scan. Thanks!
@Courtney, it’s not on identical coupons, but on like items, so if you have two 50 cent coupons and one 40 cent coupon all for Nature Valley Granola bars, only the first two you scan will double. It has nothing to do with the Do Not Double at the top.

My Meijer (Mid-Michigan) is telling me if I use coupons to purchase items with catalina deals, the catalina will not print. A manager told me it is due to goverment regulations. Is anyone else having trouble with this???
@sandy, It depends what you mean by that. If you buy 1 Shout, get a catalina, then buy another Shout and use that catalina to help pay for it, you won’t get another catalina. If you buy other products that are in the same catalina deal (Breakstone cottage cheese, then Kraft cheese), it won’t print.
I’ve had this issue many times with cashiers! If a catalina hasn’t printed they often want to blame it on MF coupons being used. So they will do a separate transaction without coupons (to prove me wrong) and guess what …NOTHING PRINTS! So no, generally speaking, coupons don’t interfere with catlinas being printed UNLESS, as stated above, you’re trying to use a previous catalina (for the same senario) to help pay for it. Most catalina do not “roll”. They generally call “systems” to help correct these issues of catalinas not printing. Last week, they had trouble at my store with the Buy $20 get $8 OYNSO. JUST BE SURE YOU HAVE THE SCENARIO CORRECT!
@stacy, That is the problem I am having when I use MF coupons and no cat prints. When I call them on it they are telling me I will not receive the cat if I use MF coupons (I’m being told goverment regulations).This seems to only happen at meijer maybe it is just this store. I don’t seem to have this problem with kroger. Thanks for the info.

I have a meijer one for $1 off the Dannon Dan-o-Nino Multipack Yogurt and then the printable – making them free if I can stack them. Thanks for all your help. This is a great site! If the checkout Dan-o-nino coupon says “manufacturer coupon” at the top, they can’t be combined. You can only combine a store and a manufacturer coupon together.
The Dark chocolate Resee’s cups are $.50. I used the $.55 coupon off of 1 and it was free!

Has anyone ever tried freezing the creamer??
@LeAnn, YES!!! You can freeze liquid creamer! 🙂 I put my frozen creamer (in the original container) in a plastic cup and fill the cup with cold water. I let it sit for about a half hour, then shake the creamer and usually change the water to help defrost it the rest of the way. I use this method for shredded and hunk cheese too 🙂

Does anyone know if you can use numerous check out cpns dollars off at the same time. It’s hard to use them up before they expire if you can’t.
That may depend slightly on your cashier. The Catalina coupon from Kraft does read “limit one coupon per purchase,” and your cashier could limit you to just one per order. You may want to take a moment and ask at customer service to see if they generally restrict the number of Catalina coupons per order.

@carol, I think it totally depends on the cashier. Last week when all the great coupons were printing out I got my groceries and then went out and used my coupons in the garden section, on one of my trips I used $18 worth of cat. coupons that printed out…which was about 5-6 seperate coupons. I did this scenerio twice last week at the Saginaw (shields) meijer.

A couple observations today at my Meijer (Auburn Hills). They are well stocked on the Nabisco snack crackers even after I bought several. Lysol was also well stocked.
One idea for that $3 Kraft coupon I found: Scrubbing Bubbles power sprayer is on Price Drop to $7.99. There was a $5 off coupon last week. Combine that with the $3 and you have zero out of pocket.
Also on the Biz: The coupon for $2 off is only for 50oz or larger. The coupon that works with this deal is $1 off (37.5 oz) so total cost is $1.99.
Does anyone know how long the $2 & $3 Scrubbing Bubbles Catalina is working? I purchased 2 today with the lower $7.99 price. I only received 2 ($3.00) catalinas and didn’t receive the $2.00. They were still free using my $5 coupons. I was just hoping it would be a $2.00 MM.

I bought 4 of the scott flushable wipes but did not get the Catalina for $5. I returned them. Some where Scott “naturals”. Could that be why?
Take a closer look at the rules for that Catalina promotion – you have to purchase items in different Scott product categories to earn the checkout coupon. Since you only purchased flushable wipes (and no other Scott products), the Catalina won’t print.

Has anyone tried the Nestle powder deal yet? I was at Meijer today and noticed the one on sale was for $2.24 was the smaller box and the mealbox coupon was for the bigger box. I just bought the bigger box but I was wondering if anyone tried the smaller one and it worked?
I’m not sure what you mean. The Mealbox coupon reads: $1 off 2 Nesquik Strawberry or Chocolate Syrup 22 oz., or Reduced Sugar Powder 10.9 – 21.82 oz. The 10.9 oz are the smaller boxes and it includes those.
When I went to Meijers this they had Keebler Townhouse crackers on sale for $1.99 with a tear pad coupon for $2 off of 2 so it made them only .99 per box. The coupon does expire 4/30 so keep your eyes open for it! They also had $2 off Cheezit coupons but I think they were for the larger boxes.
