Amy says
Does anyone know how the quality is of the meijer frozen ground turkey rolls? Anyone tried them before?
Melissa says
I have. For a long time I was buying them because I thought it was healthier than ground chuck. I found out I was wrong. It is full of fat. But, as far as taste goes, it tastes like hamburger.
christine says
@Melissa,
I was grinding my own turkey at home one time and did the calculations to compare it to commercially ground turkey. The only way I could match the fat content was to add the skin in, which made no sense to me. It really did open my eyes up to what was really in preground products and how particularly unhealthy ground turkey is compared how its marketed.
Wendy in Ohio says
@Amy, I tried the turkey the last time Meijer had it 10 for $10. I did NOT like it at all. I used some as taco meat, hoping the seasoning would cover the off taste, but it didn’t. The ground turkey had alot of little white ‘things’ in it that looked to me like the turkey skin.
Amy says
@Wendy in Ohio, Hmm. well maybe I will only get one at first to see how I like it then decide…
Esther says
@Amy, I use it. My family doesn’t mind. Great for Hamburger Helper or such.
Anne says
How does the 10 for 10 sale work? Does it have to be 10 of the same item or can you mix and match?
Jolyn says
Anne, you can mix and match ANY of the 10 for $10 items – buy them in groups of 11 to pay about $0.90 each after instant savings!
Anne says
Awesome! Thanks!
Lisa says
Amy, I’ve been buying the Meijer frozen ground turkey and we really like it.
Amy says
@Lisa, Great! I’ll have to make some room in my freezer, that is cheaper then the GFS price
Tashena Lynette Gonzales says
Looks like a good week!
kristin says
Where in the ad do you see $1 Bagel Bites? I do not see them in a preview of the Grand Rapids MI ad and am hoping I’ve just overlooked them.
Jolyn says
They may not be in the Grand Rapids ad – I’m not sure. In the Metro Detroit ad, the Bagel Bites are in the frozen food section, p. 7 in the bottom right corner.
K says
thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou for putting this out on *FRIDAY*!
Awesome 🙂
christine says
Stayfree pads are buy 2, get one free…not sure how that combines with the BOGO coupons from January, but could make a good deal possibly.
Sally Hansen & La Crosse products are 40% off, add the $2/1 (with shelf price of at least $4) from March All You, and it could be another good deal.
Hamburger Helper 10/$10, G1Free….$0.75/3 from 3/7 inserts
Hormel Pepperoni 10/$10, G1Free….$0.55 or 0.35/1 from 1/24SS
Lysol 1/2 price…and we get new Lysol coupons this weekend (at least that is what the ads on TV keep saying 😉 )
That’s what I caught off the top of my head…
kristen says
@christine, Where do you see Pepperoni 10/10? I have looked through the ad like 5 times and can’t find it.
Jolyn says
It’s not shown in the Metro Detroit ad – I’ve looked. That might mean you can find it unadvertised in our stores for $1 – though previously, it’s been full price in our area when in the Grand Rapids ad and not in ours.
kristen says
@Jolyn, Thanks. Glad I am not losing my mind 🙂
Jolyn says
Lysol isn’t 1/2 PRICE in Metro Detroit, it’s $2.00 and $2.50 (1/2 price would be cheaper than that, if that’s what your ad is showing). I’ll add it to the matchups once I can confirm the coupons we’ll receive on Sat or Sunday.
Still hoping for the Hormel Pepperoni here, but it’s slightly unlikely since our ad doesn’t include it.
kristen says
I;m a little worried that the Mealbox coupon won’t work on the Chillers for the Del Monte. Would love to hear when someone tries it.
Stacey says
You can get another 2 prints of the Green Giant boxed veggies here (manufacturer coupon WITHOUT a Target logo):
http://sites.target.com/site/en/supertarget/page.jsp?title=coupons_specials
There’s a bagged GG coupon there as well, but I’m not sure what size it’s valid on since I didn’t print it. 🙂
kristen says
This is the ad I’ve been watiing for!
$1 goldfish (with .75 off coupons)
$1 spreadable butter
$1 coke (I have some $1 off coupons I got from recyclebank)
+ lots of other great 11/10!!!
Jenna says
@kristen,
mine comes up $0.55/1 and my store only doubles to $0.50 🙁
Jeremy says
you can get two prints for .50/1 land o lakes buttery spread at http://www.landolakes.com . You have to sign up and become a member but it’s two free tubs of butter 🙂
K says
RE Fruit Chillers
I would have to say I agree w/ Kristen above…
The MBQ is for “DelMonte Fruit Cups”.
When you go to the DelMonte chillers website, it says to “buy ’em where you buy DelMonte Fruit Cups”….as to where they are located in the store.
So….I don’t think the MBQ will work for this….correct me if I am wrong, as I would like to do this deal 🙂
K says
Uh-oh.
Apparently an early posting (out in the blog-o-sphere) of an ad was last year’s ad….so be sure and double check all of your deals against your own hard copy ad. Some things (e.g. lysol) are NOT on sale this week at Meijer.
FYI.
K says
@K,
OK…Lysol is on sale..but none-the-less, double check your ad against posted deals across various sites.
Esther Roden says
Just a quick note Del Monte Fruit Chillers – the Meijer Mealbox coupon does NOT work with them. The final cost is $.99/ea.
Also, I find it best to do the self checkout at Meijer if I have a coupon that says DO NOT Double, it works everytime, and I feel no guilt. Stores get nothing back on doubling anyways. It is part of the marketing budget.
Jolyn says
That’s interesting, Esther. Two readers reported that it worked without any issues yesterday. Did something change?
