* Macomb area Kroger stores currently double coupons up to $0.50. However, as of October 2009, only 3 manufacturer’s coupons will be doubled per like items purchased. Â
You can now view the Kroger coupon policy for Michigan here. Â
You WILL need a Kroger card to take advantage of these offers; sign up for one at the Customer Service desk if you do not have one! Â

I shopped at the Ann Arbor Kroger yesterday, March 27, to redeem my $1.50 Oscar Mayer coupon for the bacon priced at $2.77, and to redeem my $2 off 3 Hershey’s Easter Candy coupons to get the $5 Catalina. To my huge disappointment, I was told they no longer accept Internet Printed Coupons $1 and higher. I had to have the cashier remove all the products from my cart and receipt. This special, out of the way trip, was a huge waste of my time, especially since this NEW policy was not posted anywhere AND the fact that I had redeemed several $1 Internet Printed Coupons the first week of March. I spoke with the manager to confirm. He apologized and offered me a $6 gift card, for the amount of the coupons I had wanted to redeem, so that I would return to shop at Kroger. It’s not worth it to me to shop at Kroger anymore when I can shop at Meijer where they accept ALL of my coupons, offer mealbox coupons and pharmacy coupons. Kroger will continue to lose customers with their ever-changing, and inconsistent coupon policy. Oh well, just wanted to share this new info.
@Deb, Deb, which kroger was that, what a bummer!
@jen, Hi Jen – It was the Kroger located at:
400 S. Maple Rd.
Ann Arbor, MI 48103
I sent a message to corporate. As long as I cannot redeem coupons $1 and up, there is no reason for me to go out of my way to shop there anymore. Very disappointing 🙁
I also had a not so fun shopping trip @ Kroger today – It was the Holt / South Lansing Kroger where none of my “electronic” coupons would work! I asked the cashier about it and they insisted I must be talking about the catalina coupons. I was not. No manager would come over to help so I left EVERYTHING and drove to Meijer! Boo Kroger Boo.
@Jaime,
Jaime, I shop there too. I have had problems with the coupons coming off my card, but not at the MLK Kroger. Also, you can go to shortcuts.com with your receipt and they’ll load up the $ onto to your card that wasn’t taken off. Then you can use that $ for your next purchase. Hope this helps!
@kate, Thank you. I will try that Kroger. I didn’t know about Shortcuts giving you a credit so I just left it all there. The odd thing was that nothing came off – Cellfire either. HHMM I will try the MLK store today since I’ll be on that side of town. Thanks again. 🙂
With the pillsbury Grands, if you buy 6, you get a $4 catalina, so after the catalina and coupons, I got 6 FREE today.
Also, Betty Crocker mashed potato pouches were 10/10, not sure if they still are, but if you buy 3, you get a $3 catalina, so they were FREE too (or use coupons to make them an even better deal!
Last week, I was told at the 21 & Card Kroger in Macomb Twp. that they no longer accept internet coupons over $1. I had my Planters peanuts $1.50 off of one coupons. The way that cashier stated it, I had assumed they would accept $1 internet coupons, but now I’m not so sure. It is getting VERY frustrating.
Let corporate know your frustration – and that you’ll be taking your coupons elsewhere….
@Jen H,
Oh, bummer – that’s my normal store too. I just sent corporate an email letting them know that I won’t shop there while they have that policy! 🙁
Wow I can’t believe kroger in your area is like that. Here (cincinnati region) they have unlimited double coupons and will accept anything even ones that don’t scan properly ( like the pilgrims pride coupons). I’ve used multiple 1,2,3,4,and 5 dollar coupons there. If they ever pulled something like that I would never shop there again.
I just got home from Kroger….I bought 3 betty pouch potatoes, but did not get the catalina??? Kind of new at this….what am I supposed to do when it doesn’t print? Thanks in advance!
Bridget, when that happens to me I go to the service desk and tell them and typically they will write it out for me. If they choose to not do that because there is no proof that there is a catalina then I return the items. Before I started couponing I never would have done such a thing but it has made me much more forward and I go to the service desk quite often.
Just an FYI… I bought 2 Total cereals and 2 Chocolate Cheerios for the milk deal. I got out to my car, looked at the receipt and didn’t have any free milk. I went back in to the ceral aisle and looked closer at the sale signs. I initially thought that they were just hung in random spots, but they were hung in front of the “participating products.” It seemed to be very limited varieties – Whole Grain Cheerios, Golden Grahams, Post Raisin Bran, Honey Bunches of Oats. There could have been more signs, but I didn’t see them. This Kroger did take my $1.50 Oscar Mayer bacon coupon with no problem, however.
$0.55/1 honey nut cheerios & $1.00/2 Big G cereals on coupons.com this morning! Hope I can get Honey nut with the free milk!!
