* Macomb area Kroger stores currently double coupons up to $0.50. However, as of October 2009, only 3 manufacturer’s coupons will be doubled per like items purchased.

You can now view the Kroger coupon policy for Michigan here.

You WILL need a Kroger card to take advantage of these offers; sign up for one at the Customer Service desk if you do not have one!

Select Kroger stores north of Macomb (Grand Blanc, Flint, Frankenmuth and more – view a full list here) will double manufacturer’s coupons up to $1.00! This can mean a great savings (and some potential free items each week). If your travels happen to take you north, check the Kroger ad (search by zip code) for the areas you’re passing through. You just might want to pack your coupons, too! Visit 1-2-3 Save for matchups that include doubles up to $1!
Take your own bags to Kroger and you’ll receive a credit for $0.05 per bag used on your shopping order. You may need to remind your cashier to deduct your credit, however, as the computer will not do it automatically!
Load e-coupons to your Kroger card before you shop: visit Cellfire, Shortcuts and Kroger Digital Coupons. Each website lists the e-coupons that can be loaded onto your Kroger Card so that you can save even more! E-coupons are limited to one use per card and will not double.

    FYI: Went to two Kroger stores today 2-21-2010 14 & Schoenherr, and 13 & Gratiot, they do NOT carry Boulder Canyon Chips

    • Jolyn says

      February 22, 2010 at 12:16 AM

      I would call/email Kroger about that, especially since you spent time at two stores looking for it. It’s an advertised weekly special and there’s no reason they shouldn’t carry it, at least for the duration of the sale.

      @Donna,

      Check the Natural Foods section (with the organic products). I’ve seen these chips at the 13/Schoenherr store in that aisle. And, customer service is right next to that aisle in case you still can’t find them! 🙂

      • Donna says

        February 22, 2010 at 12:44 PM

        @Stacey, Thank you but I had the manager and 3 other employees looking for them and they had never heard of them and we looked on every aisle.

    I have that happen to me at kroger all the time, the prices are different or they dont carry items that they “should”…

    It’s really frustrating!!

    For my Kroger, if I go to the additional savings link with the weekly add there is something for Kettle Chips being 3 for $5. There is a $1 coupon in the 1/10/10 SS or 1/31/10 SS.

    Also, Wisps are on sale for $1. If you register with Colgate smiles you can get a $0.50 coupon, which after it is doubled will be free! I’ve already registered so I’m trying to figure out if I can print it.

    I had difficulty finding the Reach toothbrushes. I checked the end caps near HBA and along the aisle where the floss and the rest of the toothbrushes were. No luck. Anyone know where I might find them? I was at Haggerty north of Six Mile.

    Are the keebler cheesecake middles part of the sale? Has anyone looked? I sure hope so!

    By the way, LOVE that I found this site!! It’s nice to have found such a good coupon/bargain site that’s focused in MI!

    If you don’t regularly check your Kroger clearance section, you should! I take a peak on every visit. Yesterday, I found 2-packs of EPT pregnancy tests (some digital and some not) on clearance for $5.79.. regularly 15.99-19.99! I was still holding onto (2) $5/1 EPT coupons, so this was a steal! I also found a $4 peelie on on of the boxes, so you may be able to find a deal even if you don’t have the coupons. Bonus: These don’t expire until July 2011! (I was at a Kroger in Bay City, good luck in the Macomb area!)

    I found Sure for Men Outdoor Sport on clearance for $1.41 at 2 different Krogers- Maple and Woodward in Birmingham and on Coolidge south of Maple in Troy. There is a $1.50 coupon from the Jan 31 Smart Source, so you can get it free if your Kroger has it on clearance!

    • Becky S says

      February 24, 2010 at 11:33 PM

      @Becky S, messed up the date– it’s the Jan 24 SmartSource….expires 3/31…

    • Becky S says

      February 25, 2010 at 8:13 AM

      @Becky S, Boy, I really wasn’t with it last night.. One scent of Sure for women was also on clearance for $1.41, and there was a coupon for $1 off any sure in the Jan 24 Smartsource…. AND if they still have some left, there are new coupons scheduled to come this Sunday for $1 off Sure and $1.50 off Sure for men!! Look to see if any of them have the “try me for free” sticker… one of the ones I got did! You need the sticker and barcode info & receipt to submit the mail in rebate.

      @Becky S, I purchased 3 Sure for Men deoderants at the Kroger at Big Beaver and John R on Friday and caused quite a stir. The cashier gave me the 3 deoderants for $1.41 each but then the manager came over and yelled at her for doing that. The manager stated that Kroger will not get the $1.50 now from the manufacturer since the deoderant was below the value of the coupon. I felt so bad for the cashier getting yelled at in front of me so I told the manager that Kroger should still get the $1.50 regardless. She said NO to me and told the cashier to never allow this again. Coupons with overage are not allowed to be used in the transaction at all. I went on to say that I have done this many times and I have never had a problem with a store telling me that I couldn’t do this. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this Kroger again!

  11. Becky S says

    February 24, 2010 at 10:46 PM

    Forgot to mention, the Sure for Men was in the regular deoderant section.

    FYI I frequently use expired coupons at my Kroger. I’ve even been able to do so at Meijers and Walmart upon occasion. It is worth trying. All they can say is no.
