I’m getting a number of reports from shoppers at multiple Meijer locations that the $2 Catalina coupon for the I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Sticks is NOT printing at all today (though it printed without a problem yesterday). Thanks to those of you who have informed me!
The Catalina offer is referenced in the back of last week’s Meijer ad and should have been valid through November 28.
PLEASE use caution when taking advantage of offers like this “moneymaker” scenario. Purchasing multiples (10 or more in one order, etc) draws attention to your transaction and can often prompt cashiers and managers to take notice. Though I have no idea what actually happened in this case, it is possible that coupon shoppers may have been abusing the offer to the point where Meijer (or Unilever, who produces the product) requested the offer to end prematurely.

Tina reported that the Catalina machines may need to be “updated,” according to employees at the Cass/Groesbeck location. Some customer service representatives are issuing handwritten Catalinas, while others are refusing. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see how this plays out…

bummer- I bought two yesterday- to try it and it worked great- then went to do 4 today (I will honestly use atleast that much this holiday season, I bake ALOT!) and no catalinas printed. I was bummed, but I guess for less than $1 a pack, its still a good deal!
I had this problem today, but I thought it was just my store (I'm in Bay City). I tried to buy 2 in one purchase, with 2 $1/1 coupons. No cat (paid $0.58 for 2). The manager said they were having an issue with them today, and wrote me a store coupon for $2.00, but I only got one – the info she had said $2.00 off your next order when you buy 2. Still a moneymaker, but not quite as good….
I just spoke with the Catalina company, the nice man I spoke with said they were aware that there were issues, but they were having PC problems, they took all my info, including info off my receipt, and assured me they would get back with me after they checked into the problem. The man I spoke with said he knew of a $1 off 2 promotion (I have noticed this at Kroger) but was not aware of a $2 off 1, and suggested maybe it was a mixup for the Meijer stores….I will update once I hear back from Catalina….I'm still keeping my fingers crossed!!
I was at Meijer today and thought I would buy a couple, our store here in Wixom has completely pulled the ICBINB sticks from the shelves. I thought maybe they were just out but there was not an empty space or a sign/tag that even stated ICBINB sticks.
I went to three different stores in the Sterling Hts area, and all were out of ICBINB. One mgr told me they weren't intending to reorder it because of all the people taking advantage of the deal. I was a little bummed because I hadnt been able to purchase any yet.
Mine never printed the first week it was advertised and I didn't have time to fight about it. I've never had it print.
I can't imagine them not carrying a product because of a good deal…they get paid from the manufactor company…ahhh coupon fun…enjoy the deals when you get them and move along when you don't…I used to get stressed about this stuff but learned quickly the deals will come again. Enjoy 🙂
I got a similar deal at Kroger in Oakland County. I bought two packages, used two $1 off coupons, and got a $2 off next Kroger purchase at check out.
13 & Little Mack Store: (is by the way completely out) I was told that the warehouse was completely out of them and no one knew when more would be coming in – they also had no idea of the catalina promotion. Today I see they have pulled the sale tag down. Not suprising – I saw boxes flying out the door on Sunday people were definitely loading their carts.
My Meijer in West Central Ohio didn't print the catelina's for the butter. I didn't ask about it.
