Did you know you can get college textbooks through Amazon? Amazon Textbooks, like most other things on Amazon, often have discounts off the list price. There are new and used books listed as well, so if you don’t want the brand new book and someone has traded one in, you can save even more.
The basics of textbooks on Amazon are below, and be sure to read the extensive FAQ’s in each section on Amazon if you have more questions.
After you know what books you need, start with their easy search feature:
Many items also have rental options if you know you won’t keep the book after you complete the class! You simply find your book, choose the rental agreement, use, and return by the due date. If you miss the due date you will be given an additional 15 days with a late fee, then after that you will be charged for the book and it is yours to keep.
Don’t want to carry your books around? Get an eTextbook.
You can also trade in your used Amazon Textbooks and get up to 80% of their value back on an Amazon gift card. Just start at the Trade In page. If you didn’t buy your book from Amazon, that’s okay too. Just follow the instructions on the trade in page to get started.
BONUS TIP: It’s not just textbooks that are eligible for trade in on Amazon! Many video games, game systems, books, and even toys are eligible. You can start at the Trade In page to see what Amazon found in your purchase history, but you can even search and add other items you want to sell.
