In the wake of Meijer ending double coupons (August 2013) and Kroger now following suit (May 2014), many of you are now left wondering if there’s anywhere left to shop that will still allow for a double coupon bonus. These stores locations in or near the metro Detroit area are still offering double coupons (i.e. each coupon scanned will deduct two times, if it follows the policy).
PLEASE review each store’s coupon policy CAREFULLY. Many of these stores will not double printable coupons, others have strict rules about accepting only one identical coupon per order, etc. Print out the policy from their website or call and ask for specifics before you shop.
Also note that just because a store doubles coupons doesn’t mean you’ll find great prices or deals there. Regular prices may be higher than normal.

Bryan’s market in North Branch (Deerfield twp.) doubles 1 coupon up to $1.50 (but will only go up to $2) you can still use two other like coupons but at face value only.
coupon guy says
altho it’s technically Bryan’s Market in North Branch doubles coupons, let me share all the details that essentially get them out of it most of the time:
1. they only double a single couple per item up to $1
2. if the coupon’s doubled value exceeds the cost of the item they will only accept the coupon at face value rather than having the coupon’s total value max out at the item’s cost.
3. they only accept coupons that are obviously from the Sunday insert. if it was printed at home they will not accept it at any value.
4. if there’s any possible way to think that the coupon doesn’t apply to the item, they will gravitate to it so that they don’t have to accept this.
bottomline, if u walk in there with 20 coupons and purchase all the items perfectly, you may get a few of them doubled on a good day and that will be with some hassle. the occasional one you get them to double is so outweighed by all the other factors that on average it’s best to think of them as a store that only accepts coupons at face value.
it’s a miserable experience trying to get a bargain at this place. altho i drive right by this store and love to use coupons, i’ve given up on trying to work with them.

Bummer….I’ve always wanted to check out Bryan’s since it’s not too far from our house & the ads are in our local paper. Thanks for the heads up. It doesn’t sound like it’s worth the hassle.

Sheena’s Marketplace in Romeo is a Spartan store that still doubles up to $0.50. Their regular prices are high, but I swear by their meat dept. and homemade bakery bread. You can check out their weekly ad on their store website. I think the new Spartan store in Almont, Vinckier Foods, might double up to $0.50 too, but I’m not for sure.
