Though it’s been around for a while, we first discovered Telestrations when we got to spend time with extended family at a cabin this summer. We played it with ages 6 to adult (it’s recommended for ages 8 and up, but strong readers will love it, too – or good artists who have help reading). If you love to laugh, this is the best choice (I laughed until I cried!) Imagine that the “telephone” game was combined with drawing and you’ll see where the fun comes in. If you’re not a great artist, the game gets even funnier!
There are options for scoring, but we’ve never worried about those rules; we have the most fun just spending time together with this game. Our kids love it so much that they played it on their own with cousins every chance they could get. It’s a terrific gift – we haven’t met anyone who didn’t love playing it!
How much did we love it? We returned from our time at the cabin and bought this game at full price (and we never pay full price!). TIP: If you want to play it with a larger group, there’s also a 12 person party version (it’s the same awesome game with more coiled sketch books and pages so that you can include everyone!)
