KROGER COUPON POLICY and SHOPPING TIPS

You can now view the Kroger coupon policy for Michigan online.
Please that Kroger’s coupon policy clearly states in each store ad: Limit 3 Manufacturer’s Coupons will be Doubled (up to $0.50) per Like Items Purchased.

You WILL need a Kroger card to take advantage of these offers; sign up for one at the Customer Service desk if you do not have one!

NOTE on Printable Coupons: Some Kroger stores have been denying the redemption of any printable coupon over $1, so proceed with caution when using printable coupons. You can view/print the Kroger Print-at-Home Coupon Acceptance Policy here, which does not specifically restrict the use of printables over $1.

SELECT Kroger stores outside of metro Detroit (some stores in Saginaw and Genessee counties along with the Howell location – view a full list here) will double manufacturer’s coupons with face value of up to $1.00! This can mean a great savings (and some potential free items each week). If your travels happen to take you north, check the Kroger ad (search by zip code) for the areas you’re passing through. You just might want to pack your coupons, too!

Load digital coupons to your Kroger card before you shop: visit Cellfire, P&G eSaver, Shortcuts and Kroger Digital Coupons. Each website lists the e-coupons that can be loaded onto your Kroger Card so that you can save even more! E-coupons are limited to one use per card and will NOT double. Kroger digital coupons may NOT be combined with actual paper manufacturer coupons.

    coupon guy says:

i wonder if anyone’s done all the math to see if the Kroger or Meijer turkey deals comes out better?

  2. 5

Duracell battery coupon from P&G 10-28-12 is actually $1 off 1, therefore, making Duracell batteries free if your stores doubles $1 coupons. Free is good….especially when needing batteries for the holidays.

  3. 6

Where is the Larabar coupon? I followed the link but didn’t see a coupon. Thanks

  4. 7

I just left my Milford, MI Kroger store where they would not accept 4 of my $1 off Pampers coupons. The cashier told me they only accept 3 like coupons, no matter the value, in 1 transaction. My store only doubles up to $0.50. Has anyone else heard of this change at Kroger or ran into the same issue?

    • 8

Our Kroger store has had that policy for some time now.

    • 9

3 identical coupons is their policy – that’s nothing new.

      • 10

mine does 5, or at least the last time i was there it did *i shop once a month* mine is Marion Kroger *by the mall*

      • 11

Thanks everyone! I must have misunderstood the policy. I thought only 3 identical would double, not that they only accept 3 identical in 1 transaction.

    • 13

Kroger here in Indianapolis,In only accepts two like coupons

      • 14

Not all Indy area stores are like that. I can use as many as I want (1 store limits to 5 identical *IF* the item is free with coupon), but they only double 2 like coupons. Unless the 3 like coupons is a new corporate policy that hasn’t been followed here yet.

    • 15

YES – at Milford, just started:( I went to the service desk and the woman told me it was ridiculous and gave me my money. She told me to complain to corporate. I said I can see if I was shelf clearing but only wanted to use five coupons and shelves were stocked. depends on cashier but most seem picky about it:(

      • 16

Jennifer: I thought it was new to the Milford, MI store. This was my first experience in being denied using coupons in my purchases. I did send my thoughts about the change to corporate surrounding the limit of coupons used in a transaction when not doubling. Thanks for the details and feedback. An adjustment to my shopping plans with coupons will be in effect from here on out :)

  5. 17

Has anyone seen the Muir tomato products at Waterford Kroger? I couldn’t find them and it was busy, so I didn’t ask the staff for help. Thanks!

  6. 22

Krogers coupon policy only accepts 3 coupons of the same item in 1 transaction. But if you did 2 transactions you could use more than 3 coupons.

  7. 23

if you go to http://kroger.softcoin.com/programs/kroger/share4save2/selectstore.html and sign into your kroger card, you must clip 4 p&G ecoupons and share 4 email addresses, you will get a free $2 coupon loaded to your card!! Just did it.

  8. 26

Can anyone tell me when All Laundry detergent will go on sale again? I saw the coupon for $1.00/1 and was hoping it would go on sale for a good deal soon.

  9. 27

I went to Howell Kroger last week and was informed by the workers that ALL Krogers will only double up to a .50 cent coupon at the start of the new year! Tragic I know!!! No more double to a $1.00!!! How will we ever survive??? LOL But really its horrible!

    • 28

then find a VG’s market they will double their coupons up to a dollar and kroger will have to go back or lose business!

      • 29

I have a VG’s here in Davison that doubles up to a 1.00, but their prices (even with the doubled coupon) are not that great.

        • 30

When the VG’s in Sterling Heights doubled to $1 it was worth the drive from Dearborn for the savings. I used to love going to VG’s and impressing the cashiers. :)

          • 31

I find that Vg’s has its fair shair of great deals too and just shop accordingly, some weeks better than others, but that is pretty much the norm for every store.

    • 32

There was talk about this happening in September and I hope it comes and goes without happening in Jan just like it did then, lol.

    Shantelle O says:

I just Left Kroger and got one heak of a deal. Scope 750ml is in the buy 4 get $4 off. That was $1.99 each. I used (4) $1.50 off 1 scope and also the $2. off instantly for listing 4 of my friends email addresses. The finaL total was $.49 for all 4 bottles. I am heading back tomorrow to use the rest o my $1.50/1 coupons. It still makes for a sweat deal of $.49 each bottle. I LOVE COUPONING!

  13. 36

I think people should stop saying ALL Kroger’s only take such and such number of like coupons in one transaction, all of them are different. I have 4 Kroger’s within ten minutes of me and unless there’s a restriction on the coupon they will take as many as you have! They’ll double as many as you have also. For example, on the last kandoo deal, I ordered 108 packs, used all my coupons in one transactionand they all doubled! I know, I’m tooting my own horn but some folks may be misinformed, especially since they have to ask on here! Call your store!

    • 37

Amen!! The policy is very vague and open to the store managers discretion so every store policy is potentially different.

      • 38
        tnteacher28 says:

Actually, it seems to be open to the interpretation of the cashiers. I’ve gotten the “we only double two printables” from a cashier at one store and then not a word about doubling three printables at the same store from a different cashier. Also, I’ve had cashiers that have doubled more than three of any type of coupon.

    • 39

anngie..where are you shopping that they aren’t restricting how many qs you can use and double?…just wondering if it was anywhere close to me because i would love to go there instead of my closest Krogers where they will double up to 1.00 but will only double 3 like qs per family per day

      • 40

At the location in Taylor, I find that if I get the young guys working, they will take all my coupons in 1 transaction and double them. However, I go to the Lincoln Park location and it’s like the coupon police work there, inspecting your coupons like your a criminal!

  14. 41
    tnteacher28 says:

Does anyone know which stores in the Flint area carry the Back to Nature Mac & Cheese?

  15. 43

For any of you that may have printed the Planters coupon for $1.00, they are on sale and they turn out to be a good price, especially at a store that doubles.

  16. 44

Just a reminder that some of the P&G items line up nicely with this rebate, which specifies that the total is taken BEFORE coupons!

  17. 45

Many of us have called about the no doubling to a $1 anymore. Not sure where Howell has gotten their info, but my local Kroger (Davison) say that is just not true!!!! I fell like this rumor has been going around for the last 4 years!!!!

  18. 46

Just to let everyone know, some of the more expensive Blistex are on sale for $1.00. so, at the stores that double up to $1.00 using the $.55/1 coupon, they would be FREE. Also some of them say 50% more free. These have a mini chapstick in the package. Even if your store doesn’t dbl. to $1.00, you would get a good deal, especially if you found the packages with 2 in it. Sorry, i forgot to look at the end of sale date, so i don’t know how long this sale is.
