Kroger Catalina Promotions

Unless otherwise stated, all Catalina offers are limited to one per transaction. Read more about what to do if your Catalina coupon doesn’t print as expected.

Have you received a Catalina advertisement at a Kroger register? Please share in the comments!

KROGER COUPON POLICY

You can now view the Kroger coupon policy for Michigan online.
Please that Kroger’s coupon policy clearly states in each store ad: Limit 3 Manufacturer’s Coupons will be Doubled (up to $0.50) per Like Items Purchased.

NOTE on Printable Coupons: Some Kroger stores have been denying the redemption of any printable coupon over $1, so proceed with caution when using printable coupons. You can view/print the Kroger Print-at-Home Coupon Acceptance Policy here, which does not specifically restrict the use of printables over $1.

You WILL need a Kroger card to take advantage of these offers; sign up for one at the Customer Service desk if you do not have one!

KROGER SHOPPING TIPS

SELECT Kroger stores outside of Macomb (some stores in Saginaw and Genessee counties along with the Howell location – view a full list here or a map of stores here) will double manufacturer’s coupons up to $1.00! This can mean a great savings (and some potential free items each week). If your travels happen to take you north, check the Kroger ad (search by zip code) for the areas you’re passing through. You just might want to pack your coupons, too!

Take your own bags to Kroger and you’ll receive a credit for $0.05 per bag used on your shopping order. You may need to remind your cashier to deduct your credit, however, as the computer will not do it automatically!

Load digital coupons to your Kroger card before you shop: visit Cellfire, P&G eSaver, Shortcuts and Kroger Digital Coupons. Each website lists the e-coupons that can be loaded onto your Kroger Card so that you can save even more! E-coupons are limited to one use per card and will NOT double. Kroger digital coupons may NOT be combined with actual paper manufacturer coupons.

This post is a proud part of Be Centsable’s Grocery Gathering. Visit the Grocery Gathering for a HUGE free listing of national and local store matchups from around the country, including CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Target, Walmart and more!

1 FrugalBehind May 22, 2011 at 10:43 PM

*** -$1.00/1 Ore Ida Sweet Potato Fries coupon (from 5-22 SS), if included

They were included last week, so I’m sure they will be again!

2 Chris May 22, 2011 at 11:19 PM

Glad to see the checklist implemented for those who will benefit from it. I still prefer to copy any attractive deals into a Google Docs file and then view those deals at the store on my phone (and now you can make changes from your phone as well!). It’s a lot less hassle if I need to add something at the late minute and I’m not flipping through pages at the store or spending money and ink on a new list each week. :D

3 Beccy May 22, 2011 at 11:34 PM

I love the checklist option!!! (any chance the Meijer Matchups will get this as well??) Looks like a good week save a lot of money by not shopping!! I think I only found 3 things… Thanks for all of your hard work!! I couldn’t do it without you!!

4 Sarah May 26, 2011 at 11:23 AM

LOVE LOVE LOVE the checklist!!! Thanks for adding that! And for all your hardwork!

5 Deb May 23, 2011 at 12:01 AM

Catalina advertisement from a Kroger register:
Buy Reach Toothbrushes between 5/16/11 and 6/12/11 and Save up to $4.00 on a future order.
Buy 2, Get $1.00
Buy 3, Get $2.00
Buy 4 or More, Get $4.00

6 cathy May 23, 2011 at 12:40 PM

The reach toothbrushes are ringing up for $2.07 downriver. So when the $1 off 1 or the $2 off 2, if you buy 4 than toothbrushes are only 7 cents each of coupon and catalina.
Toothbrushes are great items to give to shelters or food banks. They love the items. And remember you can get a milages tax credit, if you keep track of your trips. The milage includes your milage to the store to buy the products and the milage to the shelter.
You can help others at a little or no cost to yourself.

I limit my stockpile and it’s full now. But I love to shop, love great deals and love to give. So, this week I’m shopping for the food bank.

7 Heather May 23, 2011 at 6:12 AM

I went shopping to pick-up a few things and I didn’t see them in your match-up, but I thought they were good deals

Starbucks pints ice cream – regularly reg 2.99 with kroger card. part of frozen sale so 2.49, use coupon from 5-22 paper for cost of .49! (if your kroger doubles to a buck) Yummy! I got the hot chocolate.

Suave deoderant is 1.67, BUT be sure to get the smaller size, because the big one is 1.86 which I grabbed by accident. Use coupon from 5-22 paper for .75 off, so only .17 if your kroger doubles to a buck

8 Jenesa May 26, 2011 at 8:47 AM

Thanks for sharing Heather :) I love Starbucks ice cream!

9 Liz May 23, 2011 at 6:19 AM

The $1 coupon for the Kandoo wipes in the 4/3 P&G expired at the end of April.

10 Jolyn May 23, 2011 at 9:52 AM

The rest of the coupons in the 4-3 PG did expire, but the Kandoo wipes coupon was dated through the end of the year.

11 Joy May 23, 2011 at 8:59 AM

Also, $1.00 coup on Heinz ketchup in Sunday’s paper and on sale this week for $1.99

12 Whitney May 23, 2011 at 12:30 PM

The value of the Heinz coupon was regional. For a lot of us the value was only .25/1 (as listed above).

13 Kimmy May 23, 2011 at 3:30 PM

Mine was only for .25…bummer!!!

29 Chanita May 24, 2011 at 3:21 PM

Are there any Krogers in the metro detroit area that double up to a $1.00?

30 Sarah Jane May 24, 2011 at 11:12 PM

The Howell location. It’s 108 W. Highland Rd. Howell, Mi 48843
I live in Commerce, Mi and I plan on driving to that one :) I swear there used to be one in Westland/ Canton?? But I didn’t see it on the list :( bum!

31 Prue May 27, 2011 at 9:31 AM

@Sarah Jane
I go to the Howell store and it’s awesome to get the $1.00 doubles! FYI, everyone coupons @ the store and sometimes the best deals are pretty slim (ie Kandoo’s, BBQ sauce) but they are SUPER nice and really cater to the couponers!

32 Jill May 24, 2011 at 9:43 PM

went to krogers tonight and bought 4 coppertone sunscreen it was B1G1 price was 10.89 each and used 4 Q’s for a 1.00 each and recieved 10.00 in Catalina coupon. Finally price for 4 suncreens were 7.78 counting my 10 bucks. Which equals out to 1.94 each !!

33 Mary May 25, 2011 at 1:31 PM

That’s awesome, Jill. I was gonna do this with the Hawaiian Tropic/Banana Boat this week, but was worried that it wouldn’t work. Who is the catalina from? (it usually says “compliments of…” on the cat) The banana boat cat was from Energizer, but Coppertone isn’t an Energizer product, right?

34 Darcie May 27, 2011 at 1:12 PM

can you use a coupon on the free one at Krogers?

35 amy May 25, 2011 at 12:51 PM

catalina offer printed for me yesterday:

Buy any Excedrin (20 or 24ct) and Kotex product (excluding tampons) between 5/22 and 6/18 and save $2 on your next order.

36 Jen May 25, 2011 at 2:25 PM

Went to Kroger today in Rochester and could not find the 42 count Kandoo Wipes (only found different sizes/not on sale). Anyone around the area know if they have them at their store?

37 Heather May 25, 2011 at 6:07 PM

Jen I got them at the Waterford Kroger on 59\Cresent Lake Rd. Good Luck!

38 kurstin May 25, 2011 at 3:12 PM

Can you use q on free item.like for the b1g1 on sunscreen in howell?

39 Mary May 25, 2011 at 10:26 PM

Howell Kroger does not accept ANY coupons on items that are BOGO-free. This means they will not even accept a coupon on the item that you are paying for. Their policy is posted at the front door. :(

40 kurstin May 25, 2011 at 3:16 PM

Can you use coupons for free items at howell kroger?

41 FrugalBehind May 25, 2011 at 5:21 PM

Maybe Jill will tell us where she shopped :) . I’d like to know the same thing for our local Kroger… asked two people there and they didn’t know.

42 emily May 25, 2011 at 6:49 PM

Kroger coupon policy is that you cannot use a coupon on a free item.
Some people just do it anyway and some cashiers take them.
I dont think the coppertone is bogo or part of a oyno deal, I am guessing
she bought banana boat or hawaiian tropic and just typed in coppertone.
Yes, you can count the free one in your total to get to $25 for the $10 oyno. However, I did this in Howell and the oyno didnt print and it has
been printing for me in Jackson. In howell no catalinas printed so I think the machine was resting because the green light was on. The service desk usually will not give you your $10 catalina if you are going off regular price and not actually spent if your coupon doesnt print.
Its just a glitch in their system because you have to use a kroger card to get the sale price.

43 Mary May 25, 2011 at 10:40 PM

Thanks Emily. I think that Coppertone is also b1g1, so that’s why Jill’s comment confused me! :/
Hopefully it will work, I need to stock up for our family vacation next month!

44 Michelle May 26, 2011 at 10:26 AM

Hey Guys,

Does anyone know if Kroger considers those coupons they send to Plus Card members periodically from those recipe books for example, store coupons or manufacturer coupons? If so, can you use them with a manufacturer coupon on the same item?

Thanks
Michelle

45 Jolyn May 26, 2011 at 3:43 PM

The full color coupons are manufacturer coupons. Kroger issues store coupons only for Kroger store brand products.

46 Lyndsay May 26, 2011 at 11:40 PM

Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ SAUCE is 10 for 10 this week at Kroger as well. (Spotted it at 14 and Schoenherr.)

47 Lisa May 27, 2011 at 2:46 PM

I can’t find the aquafresh digital toothbrush coupon. Couldn’t last week either. Any suggestions as to why?

48 Megan May 28, 2011 at 1:02 AM

Yay!!! Went to the Kroger in Grand Blank today to do the doubles up to a dollar. Well I just want to say I must not have been the only one because there was at least 20 people in the store as late as it was and all but maybe 2 people had binders with them in the baby seat and where getting all the deals too. It was so funny to see so many people in a store doing the same thing. But a lot of the deals where gone (hence the other couponers, lol) but I still managed to only pay $42 bucks on a $170 dollar order. Yay!!! Saved so much I love it. Just wish the Krogers around here would do the same.

49 Mary May 28, 2011 at 7:05 PM

$10 wys $25 on Energizer cat (thru 5/28) does work on B1G1 sunscreen at Kroger. I bought 2 Banana Boat sprays @ $10.19(b1g1) & 1 Sunscreen stick @ $4.99. Coupons not accepted on b1g1, but stick wasn’t b1g1, so used 1 $1/1. (if your store doesn’t dble up to $1, they WILL accept coupons on b1g1, so you can use 2 coupons & get the same deal)
$10.19(for 2) + $4.99 = $15.18 – $2(dbl coup) = $13.18 – $10oyno = $3.18 for all three. Sorry so late with the update, hope some of you can get some too.

50 Robin C May 29, 2011 at 12:15 PM
