Kroger Catalina Promotions

Unless otherwise stated, all Catalina offers are limited to one per transaction. Read more about what to do if your Catalina coupon doesn’t print as expected.

Have you received a Catalina advertisement at a Kroger register? Please share in the comments!

KROGER COUPON POLICY

You can now view the Kroger coupon policy for Michigan online.
Please that Kroger’s coupon policy clearly states in each store ad: Limit 3 Manufacturer’s Coupons will be Doubled (up to $0.50) per Like Items Purchased.

NOTE on Printable Coupons: Some Kroger stores have been denying the redemption of any printable coupon over $1, so proceed with caution when using printable coupons. You can view/print the Kroger Print-at-Home Coupon Acceptance Policy here, which does not specifically restrict the use of printables over $1.

You WILL need a Kroger card to take advantage of these offers; sign up for one at the Customer Service desk if you do not have one!

KROGER SHOPPING TIPS

SELECT Kroger stores outside of Macomb (some stores in Saginaw and Genessee counties along with the Howell location – view a full list here or a map of stores here) will double manufacturer’s coupons up to $1.00! This can mean a great savings (and some potential free items each week). If your travels happen to take you north, check the Kroger ad (search by zip code) for the areas you’re passing through. You just might want to pack your coupons, too!

Take your own bags to Kroger and you’ll receive a credit for $0.05 per bag used on your shopping order. You may need to remind your cashier to deduct your credit, however, as the computer will not do it automatically!

Load digital coupons to your Kroger card before you shop: visit Cellfire, P&G eSaver, Shortcuts and Kroger Digital Coupons. Each website lists the e-coupons that can be loaded onto your Kroger Card so that you can save even more! E-coupons are limited to one use per card and will NOT double. Kroger digital coupons may NOT be combined with actual paper manufacturer coupons.

Could anyone share what types of Kellogg’s cereal are for sale? There is a Kellogg’s rebate available at http://www2.kelloggs.com/AARP/rewards/ that might be useful with this sale. Thanks for the match-up!

2 Mary May 2, 2011 at 9:10 AM

thanks for the info – I thought that deal had expired already, so now I’m glad I saved my boxtops!
The Kelloggs cereal on sale for $1.98 are Fruit Loops, Apple Jacks, Pops, and Cocoa Krispies.

3 Mary May 2, 2011 at 9:11 AM

oops …and Raisin Bran

4 Amber May 2, 2011 at 10:43 AM

Has this been confirmed to 1)work and 2) that it is being used legitamately?? I’m not a member of AARP and I know there was some discussion that this was meant only for members……

5 Mary May 2, 2011 at 9:14 AM

At the Howell Kroger the cereals included in the buy 10 are Cap’n Crunch (all varieties) & Life (reg & cinn).

6 Carrie May 2, 2011 at 10:16 AM

Up in the matchups on the pepsi deal, you have a note that Kroger only accepts three identical coupons and this is a $.55/1 coupon. Is this a new change?? I haven’t seen that rule anywhere. The doubling rules state that only three like coupons will be doubled, but I’ve not seen it anywhere that you can only use three identical coupons per transactions anywhere.

Just last night I used four identical coupons in one transaction and no beeps, no problems, however, I know their registers aren’t always up-to-date with their policies. I routinely use four identical coupons (especially during mega-sale time) in a transaction and don’t want to be doing something wrong.

7 Jolyn May 2, 2011 at 2:10 PM

Good, I’m glad it worked for you. This will depend on the location, but I’ve had more readers commenting in the past months that any coupons in their order beyond 3 identical were being refused, even if they weren’t expected to double.

8 Chris May 6, 2011 at 1:51 PM

It greatly varies by location. I was at two Kroger stores this week. One will allow up to 5 identical if they’re not being doubled (and the coupon doesn’t otherwise limit). The other one has no limits if they’re not doubling.

9 Jill May 2, 2011 at 11:44 AM

From what I understand, you may use 3 identical coupons that will double. There are posted signs that say they limit it to three identical coupons but if you check the written policy it clarifies that they will double three identical coupons. Once in awhile a cashier will give you a hard time on a higher value coupon which you are using more than three of, but I have always asked them to check the policy/ask a manager and then had no problem. I regularly use high value coupons in quantities more than three. Honestly I generally do not use more than three of like coupons under $1 (which my store doubles to) even when they say “do not double” on the hopes that the coupon will double…

10 Chris May 2, 2011 at 5:39 PM

And I just don’t understand what the problem would be with accepting more than 3 regular (not doubled) coupons. Kroger will be reimbursed the face value of the coupon plus a whole 8 cents each, which means they’re actually getting more of a profit than if someone used cash. In the case of the Pepsi deal, the customer would pay 70 cents each, plus the manufacture would pay 63 cents each, meaning Kroger would pull in $1.33 on that two-liter of Pepsi. The only one who loses is the manufacture, but they’re also getting people to actually try their products for a fraction of the cost it takes to pay celebrities to simply show the product on television or the internet.

11 Mary May 3, 2011 at 1:03 PM

I’m glad that stores limit coupon quantities. It helps to keep individuals from clearing the shelves (think “extreme couponing” – who really needs 100 toothbrushes?).
In the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t matter what they are being reimbursed for the coupons when they are losing customers because sale items are always out of stock.

12 Whitney May 3, 2011 at 1:15 PM

I agree. My store has no coupon limit and I’ve seen the ramifications. If you absolutely need more than 3 of something you can make multiple trips. If I can make the mega deals work using a combo of 2 coupons here, 3 coupons there, I think anyone can. There must be a new “extreme couponer” at my store because lately I’ve been finding shelves absolutely cleared of the best deals. And I don’t think that donating the items justifies shelf-clearing. There are far more of us who don’t qualify for the food pantry who would like to pick up just 1 or 2 of those items for ourselves.

13 Andrea May 4, 2011 at 5:41 PM

When you live 30 minutes from any grocery store like I do, making multiple trips to a store is a major economic problem so I see a major problem with this. Limiting three items would be ridiculous. I buy items as I need them and stockpile so I may buy ten two liters, ten packs of wipes and five packs of toilet paper in one visit. If I was limited to three, I simply wouldn’t shop there anymore. I’d take my business to one of the stores that DOES care about its customers. With the price of gas and for those of us with kids, we can’t afford to go in and out 3 times to get 10 2-liters. People just need to stop shelf clearing and being greedy. Also, that’s what rainchecks are for!!!

14 Kathryn May 2, 2011 at 12:15 PM

There was a $1 Propel coupon in the paper yesterday. I believe it was a $1/1 or you could use it towards a 6pk.

15 Kathryn May 2, 2011 at 12:19 PM

nevermind. it was only off the 6pk

16 Mike May 5, 2011 at 5:15 PM

Kathryn, you were right the first time. coupon says 1.00 off 1 propel or 1 propel 6 pack. its in the 5-1 moments to save insert.

17 Amber May 6, 2011 at 10:04 PM

i thought it mean 1 propel 6 pck or propel zero 6 pack. has anyone tried this on 1 water?

18 Mike May 8, 2011 at 6:49 PM

yes I tried it on 1 water. In fact I used it for 2 waters(had 2 coupons). It was a .30 cent money maker.

19 Heather May 2, 2011 at 3:48 PM

The q in the Moments to Save 5/1 is for $1/3 quaker quakes

20 Heather May 2, 2011 at 3:51 PM

21 Marianne May 2, 2011 at 4:35 PM

For stores that double $1=
The Rubbermaid Q from this weekends paper for Easy Find Lids, Premier containers etc $1 off any 1, if your Kroger doubles $1 these were various prices of 2.37 2.54 so for .37 or .54 after doubled q.

Skinney Cow ice cream treats are 3.99 if your store doubles $1 = 1.99 cheaper than Meijer this week.

I cannot find the Nestle Pure Life Water coupon in the 5/1 SS???

Help! =)

32 cathy May 3, 2011 at 9:21 PM

Add Reach Toothbrushes and Reach Flossers to the Mega sale. They are 1.27 before the mega sale discount. There is a $2.50 /2 coupon in the SS 4/17. So, it’s a .96 money maker. There are a number of Reach coupons in the 4/17 and also in the 1/9 ss

33 tiff May 5, 2011 at 10:49 PM

those 2/$2.50 cp say items cannot be duplicated. meaning i cant get 2 toothbrushes?? how does that work

34 Jolyn May 6, 2011 at 9:18 AM

Oh, yikes. Yes, if that’s what it says then you’d have to buy 1 toothbrush and another item specified on the coupon. I don’t have it in front of me right now – do you know what the other items are? Is floss included?

35 Rachel May 6, 2011 at 7:30 PM

The $2.50 off 2 say that you have to buy a Listerine AND one of the other things…it’s not just off any of them.

36 Lynn May 3, 2011 at 9:25 PM

Scotch Scissors are part of the buy 10 $ 2.29 each. I got them for .29 tonight after using the $1.00 mfg cpn on target web site (my store doubles 1.00 cpns)

37 Marianne May 4, 2011 at 7:41 AM

Where were the coupons for the Right Guard deod and theStarkist? I checked database and found Right Guard b1g1 free and nothing for the tuna. Maybe I just missed them. thanks.

40 AJ May 4, 2011 at 6:55 PM

it was a printable coupon for the tuna, $.50/1, but the offer has expired… no more prints in campaign!

41 kathy May 4, 2011 at 8:57 PM

Yeah, I apologize for not being more clear. The tuna was a campaign available every Friday in April. The Rightguard was/is? a facebook coupon

42 lynn May 4, 2011 at 11:54 PM

45 Alex May 5, 2011 at 6:32 AM

Creamette Quick Cook, Ronzoni Healthy Harvest and Ronzoni Smart Taste can all be free.

I used coupons from Creamette’s site to get my pastas without paying a dime. –> http://creamette.newworldpasta.com/pasta_coupon.cfm

46 kate May 5, 2011 at 8:48 PM

Is the creamette quick cook pasta included in the sale?

47 kathy May 5, 2011 at 11:45 AM

More 10/$10
Haribo Gummies 10 – .30/1 = .40
Ivory Soap 3 Pack – $1 – $1/1 (5/1 p&g) = free

Another buy 10g$5
Blue Diamond Almonds Cans $2.49 – .50 wyb 10 = $1.99 – .75/2 = $1.62

Also Hallmark Cards are Buy 3 get $1.00 off instantly…I bought a $3.00 card and (2) .49 cards and it came off so I suspect you could buy 3 @ .49 and get $1.00 off or .17/each

48 Mike May 5, 2011 at 8:32 PM

just got back from krogers sterling heights 18 mile and dequindre. they have just about everything in stock that is mentioned on this site plus whatevers mentioned in the blog except for the brut deodorant and reach toothbrush. What a great sale. Also, the Armour summer sausage is .99 from 3.99. Great price with kroger card. No coupons needed.

49 Jolyn May 5, 2011 at 9:53 PM

Great find! What size is the summer sausage?

50 Mike May 6, 2011 at 10:26 AM

1.5 lbs

51 Rachel May 5, 2011 at 9:33 PM

If you got the special insert in the paper this past Sunday, there is a $1.50 off any 5 Sobe drinks…so….

5 Sobe Lifewaters @ 99 cents (as part of the Mega Sale) = $4.95 less $1.50 = $3.45/5 or 69 cents each :)

52 Lyndsay May 6, 2011 at 12:39 PM

The lifewater in the paper and the lifewater in the store are a different size.
The coupon specifies 20oz, the ones in the store are 33 or 38 oz, something like that,

53 Rachel May 6, 2011 at 6:33 PM

I think it’s for 20oz or larger. I used it today and had no issues with it.

54 Lyndsay May 8, 2011 at 2:19 AM

Just because you can use a coupon doesn’t mean you should.
The coupon specifies it’s for 20oz bottles of Sobe.
To use it for anything else is coupon fraud.

55 Amanda May 6, 2011 at 12:07 AM

The Jell-O $0.55/1 (4-3 SS) paired with the Mega event expired 5-3-11.

56 Amber May 6, 2011 at 4:35 AM

why is it that alot of the stuff isn’t listed in the sale paper? like the nivea

57 Jolyn May 6, 2011 at 9:17 AM

For some reason, Kroger only places a small amount of their sale prices in the ad each week. But you’ll find more deals in the store. When you look at the sale tag, you’ll see that most are dated past the 7 day sale ad as well.

58 christina May 6, 2011 at 12:02 PM

Can the Kroger e-coupons that are loaded to the Kroger card be combined with newspaper or internet coupons?? Thank you!!

59 Amanda May 6, 2011 at 12:12 PM

No, the digital coupons and paper coupons can no longer be combined. Digital coupons take preference and the paper coupons will beep and be handed back. Since digital coupons do not double, I would load them to your card ONLY when you have no paper coupons to use and ONLY if you really need the item.

60 Lyndsay May 6, 2011 at 12:37 PM

$5.49 Freschetta Pizza, select varieties 9.4-30 oz
-$0.50 on each when you buy 10 participating Mega Event items
-$1.00/1 Freschetta coupon (from 4-10 SS)
$3.99 after coupon
Bonus: Buy 1 Freschetta Pizza, get a $1.00 checkout coupon valid on our next order. Buy 2, get $3.00; buy 3 or more, get $5.00.

For the bonus part of this… the coupon you get back is for $1, $3, or $5 off a mother’s day floral purchase, it says so right on the sticker on the pizza box.
I wasn’t paying attention and I bought 3 pizzas and that’s what I got as a printout. It’s such a rip off.

61 kelly May 7, 2011 at 6:11 PM

The catalina that printed for me was 5.00 of any purchase when I bought three pizzas.

62 lynn May 6, 2011 at 4:09 PM

tostitos salsa (small jar) 2.49 use cpn from sundays pepsi insert for $1.00 (off chips or salsa) insert to make it only 49 cents! (if your store doubles $1.00) also, as mentioned earler, the same coupon would make the tortilla chips only .99:)

63 Melissa May 7, 2011 at 7:20 AM

Which stores in the Metro Detroit area will double coupons up to $1.00? I know the one right by my house in Livonia doesn’t.

64 Mary May 8, 2011 at 3:13 PM
65 Jonathan May 7, 2011 at 10:10 AM

There is a $5 “Cars” gas card available when you buy 4 Rice Krispies boxes with the “Cars” logo on it and code inside. Paired with the $1/2 RK coupon doubled that makes a pretty sweet deal on cereal! The RK are on sale for $1.98 along with the Raisin Bran and other cereals mentioned above.
