KROGER COUPON POLICY

You can now view the Kroger coupon policy for Michigan online.
Please that Kroger’s coupon policy clearly states in each store ad: Limit 3 Manufacturer’s Coupons will be Doubled (up to $0.50) per Like Items Purchased.

NOTE on Printable Coupons: Some Kroger stores have been denying the redemption of any printable coupon over $1, so proceed with caution when using printable coupons. You can view/print the Kroger Print-at-Home Coupon Acceptance Policy here, which does not specifically restrict the use of printables over $1.

You WILL need a Kroger card to take advantage of these offers; sign up for one at the Customer Service desk if you do not have one!

KROGER SHOPPING TIPS

SELECT Kroger stores outside of Macomb (some stores in Saginaw and Genessee counties along with the Howell location – view a full list here or a map of stores here) will double manufacturer’s coupons up to $1.00! This can mean a great savings (and some potential free items each week). If your travels happen to take you north, check the Kroger ad (search by zip code) for the areas you’re passing through. You just might want to pack your coupons, too!

Take your own bags to Kroger and you’ll receive a credit for $0.05 per bag used on your shopping order. You may need to remind your cashier to deduct your credit, however, as the computer will not do it automatically!

Load digital coupons to your Kroger card before you shop: visit Cellfire, P&G eSaver, Shortcuts and Kroger Digital Coupons. Each website lists the e-coupons that can be loaded onto your Kroger Card so that you can save even more! E-coupons are limited to one use per card and will NOT double. Kroger digital coupons may NOT be combined with actual paper manufacturer coupons.

This post is a proud part of Be Centsable’s Grocery Gathering. Visit the Grocery Gathering for a HUGE free listing of national and local store matchups from around the country, including CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Target, Walmart and more!

1 Shannon March 27, 2011 at 7:05 PM

Would the Keebler Fudge Shoppe cookies be 90c since our store doubles to $1?

2 Shannon March 27, 2011 at 7:07 PM

Nevermind.. realized coupon is on 2

3 Casey March 27, 2011 at 8:22 PM

Do all kroger in Michigan limit 3 doubled coupons per trans? Becuase i was able to get 8 toothpaste that was on sale for 0.99 with a .50 coupon doubled all 8 times , it was the only thing i bought! So I only paid the tax, I just wondered if this was a new policy? ( St. Johns Kroger)

4 Kimmy March 28, 2011 at 2:24 PM

Casey, Kroger will double as many .50 coupons and under as you want but anything over .50 they will only double 3 times=)

5 Jane March 28, 2011 at 3:26 PM

That’s not true at all, there are several Krogers in my area that limit 3 like coupons period and if the cashier catches trying to use more, they will not take them. Like any deal and any store, it’s YMMV!

6 Kimmy March 28, 2011 at 3:43 PM

Well this is the info that I recieved from my coupon class. Perhaps this is only at our Kroger, so if it doesn’t work for you then I’m sorry, but I’ve been told this more than once by experts who coupon much more than me=)

7 Amber April 2, 2011 at 8:15 AM

I think it varies. My Kroger does not double up to $1, only to .50cents and they will only double three .50 coupons. I can given them as many as I want, but they will only double 3. I live in Ann Arbor and I’m sure it varies across the state. I WISH they would double to $1 AND give me unlimited .50cent doubles!!!!!!!!

8 Kris March 29, 2011 at 7:46 AM

I agree with Jane. I have had some stores limit me to 3 like coupons. They do have signs up at the that they have the right to limit coupons. I’ve never been to a Kroger that lets you use more then 3 $1 coupons.

9 Kimmy March 29, 2011 at 10:25 AM

You are right Kris, I haven’t had any Krogers that will let you use more than 3 $1 coupons, but some will let you double more than 3 coupons if they are .50 and under=) I am thinking that is probably what happened with Casey since she only bought one type of item and had 8 50 cent coupons that all doubled. That would have been any easy one for any cashier to catch had it been against that stores policy.

10 Casey March 28, 2011 at 7:03 PM

Thank YOU! I thought thats what it was, I know a near by Kroger that doubles a 1.00 and was assuming it was them who only takes 3! I was also told at a coupon class but i couldnt remember!!! =)

11 Jade March 30, 2011 at 11:28 AM

I think it all depends on the cashier you get…I have had way more than 3 $1 off coupons and they took them all.

12 Sandy March 28, 2011 at 12:35 AM

Anyone know where I can find Propel in the store? I was looking for it his week in Davison and could not find it Found the powder packets.

13 planejane March 28, 2011 at 7:23 PM

propel is located in the area where cases of water are at..

14 Mary March 30, 2011 at 10:59 PM

look at the end caps also

15 Emily March 28, 2011 at 9:08 AM

Kroger computers in Michigan anyway will double as many coupons that you
have. Some stores limit to 3 like coupons, but the cashier has to
pay attention to not double more than 3.

16 Amber April 2, 2011 at 8:17 AM

Really??? My Kroger computers will ‘automatically’ double three and that’s it. I always kick myself when I forget this and don’t do separate transactions….

17 Lara March 28, 2011 at 9:37 AM

Propel is normally down the pop aisle- not the juice aisle and if often byt the Arizona products.

18 Kristy March 28, 2011 at 10:28 AM

At some Kroger stores that double dollar coupons you can double as many coupons as you have that are $.50 or less.

19 Jennifer March 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM

I think that most of the time the cashiers aren’t paying enough attention to the coupons that they are scanning and that’s how people can circumvent the doubling limit coupon policy. Not to say that we are all trying to cheat the system, but saying that sometimes we make mistakes when redeeming our coupons. I try to be as careful as possible when I have 3 or more coupons that are alike and will double. Just one of my thoughts on that.

22 Lara March 28, 2011 at 1:29 PM

just was at 25 & Dequindre and the Honey Bunches of Oats Raisin Medley is not in the sale and neither is the Ouaker Toasted Oatmeal Squares- bummer!

23 Andrea March 28, 2011 at 9:24 PM

Can anyone confirm if this is at all stores? I would like to purchase the Quaker Toasted Oatmeal Squares and honey bunches of oats. Thanks!

24 Rachel F March 28, 2011 at 1:33 PM

There is a two pack of Colgate kids toothbrushes that are $1.99 regular price. Use the $1.00/1 Colgate manual toothbrush coupon making these free.

25 Char March 28, 2011 at 4:39 PM

Rachel F- I’m confused on how these would be free? Or does your Kroger double up to $1? Then I understand how they’d be free.

26 Marianne March 31, 2011 at 12:30 PM

@Char -they would be free for those who shop at double $1 stores.

27 Carrie March 29, 2011 at 10:57 AM

I’m loading up on Beech-Nut Baby Food!
60 jars of Stage 2 baby food
$0.45 x 60 = $27
$5 of $25 baby purchase = $22
use two $2/20 and two $1/10 = $16 total or $0.27 each!
Considering my 7 month old little pork pie is eating almost FOUR jars worth a day of both homemade and store-bought, this will help me keep up with his voracious little appetite for a month or so!

28 Mary h March 30, 2011 at 10:21 AM

Hi Krogers in Westland is not including the quaker square cereal for 1.88

29 Shannon March 30, 2011 at 5:45 PM

The stouffers farmers harvest frozen meals are included in the sale for $2.00. Using the 1.00 coupon makes these free.

30 Kimmy March 31, 2011 at 7:18 AM

Thanks Shannon!!

31 Shannon March 30, 2011 at 5:46 PM

FYI-the normal price was 2.16

32 Marianne March 31, 2011 at 4:25 PM

For those who have a Kroger that doubles $1 the Hostess $1/2 on coupons.com (there was a link in the Facebook posts on B2B 3.30.11). They are on sale at Kroger 2/$5 so they would be 2/$3 -not sure if that is a super good price, I stocked up for the kids lunches for work.

33 Lynn March 31, 2011 at 9:50 PM

If your store doubles $1.00 coupons, you can score free McCormick recipe inspitations spice (6 pack of spice with recipe) if they are normally price $1.99

34 Lynn March 31, 2011 at 9:51 PM

just use the $1.00 off one Mccormick coupon, not sure which inset
