Meijer has now joined the digital coupon scene: the mPerks Program is underway at Meijer! You’ll need a text message-enabled phone to sign up, download digital coupons and redeem them at the register!
- Sign up for mPerks by entering your cell phone number (it will be used as your account number and for verification – it doesn’t appear that you’ll receive additional texts with this program).
- You’ll receive a verification text that you can enter on the mPerks website or respond to via cell phone.
- Once registered, log in using your cell phone number and chosen pin.
- Load digital Meijer store coupons to your account using the “Clip It” button under each coupon.
When shopping, you simply look for the mPerks button at checkout (on the bottom of U-scan or credit card machine screens) and select the button anytime after your first item has been scanned. The computer will then prompt you for your 10 digit cell phone number and the savings will deduct when you’ve met the coupon criteria.
Right now you can digitally clip a coupon valid for $2 off a $5 or more purchase (valid through October 23 - restrictions apply)
This program is still relatively new and not all cashiers may be familiar with it yet. There still appear to be a few snags for some shoppers who sign up. However, most of those who have tried the mPerks coupon have found that it worked very well. While you’ll want to receive this discount before any coupons are deducted, those who forgot (and entered their mPerks information last) still received the savings. You can opt out of the mPerks program at any time. You can view ALL the details about mPerks digital coupons in the mPerks FAQ.
IMPORTANT NOTES about mPERKS
mPERKS = STORE COUPONS
mPerks coupons are considered Meijer STORE coupons. They may successfully be combined with manufacturer coupons (limit one manufacturer and one Meijer store coupon per item or as specified by the coupons). They may NOT be combined with other Meijer store coupons (including Mealbox coupons from meijermealbox.com or Meijer coupons distributed in stores).
mPERKS COUPON RULES
These coupons are for one-time use only. mPerks coupons will NOT double at the register (like other Meijer store coupons). They are specific to your account and cannot be shared.
NEW COUPONS EACH WEEK
New mPerks coupons are added each week and refreshed on Mondays. You’ll want to check available mPerks savings regularly and add them to your account, as they can disappear (become unavailable) at any time.
PRINT a COUPON LIST
If you’d like a printed list (for your reference), you can visit “Your Clipped Coupons” and have a print or email a list of your available savings to yourself. Your printed list is just a shopping reference and is NOT needed at checkout.

If you encounter issues with registering or using mPerks digital coupons, please email mperks@meijer.com or call 1-800-962-7011 for help.  You will need to include your transaction information and mPerks number (so have your receipt ready). In most cases, your cashier will not be able to assist you with any mPerks coupons that don’t deduct as expected.

I enrolled in mPerks last week, clipped my digital Qs, and just typed in my number at checkout. Poof! 5 off my 25 dollar purchase. I was so excited!! The poor cashier hadn’t heard of it, though, so I showed her the receipt at the end. She was super patient and nice (lots of other Qs, too) but they need to inform their cashiers!
I don’t care for the limitation of one coupon. I can see this replacing mealbox coupons where you can print a couple or several. Their incentive will be to force you into multiple trips. Rather than letting you print four $1/2 something coupons. They’ll let you print one per week which will make it more difficult to stock up or stack coupons and deals.
how long does it take to have the $5.00 COUPON ON YOUR number. i went shopping sat night and it didnt show up on my receipt.
I had signed up for mPerks last week, and went to Meijer right after and my $5 off a $5 or more coupon worked just fine. Similar to Krogers digital coupons or cellfire, except they’re tied to my Kroger card. And Kroger does both printed and digtal coupons, so I think Meijer will too for a while. Sound like meijer will “freshen” they’re coupons more often though. I seem to like it so far..
Does anyone know Meijer’s policy or price adjusting. Carseat I bought last week is now 5 bucks cheaper
This was just mentioned on the Facebook Fan Page by a Meijer cashier. Policy: they’ll do a price adjustment within 7 days (general merchandise only, not grocery) if you have your receipt.
I don’t see the 2.00 coupon yet, I used the 5.00 off last week and it worked just fine in the uscan.
2nd time using mPerks. 1st time used $5 off coupon, this time I used $2 off coupon. Both times I was at the U-scan and had no problems, worked great!
Has anyone contacted meijer and asked if this program will be replacing MMB coupons? I am very concered… I like getting as many deals as I would like opposed to only getting 1 with mperks….
I can’t do this at all with my Virgin Mobile phone. They say they will be adding support for more providers, but I can’t keep checking every few days to see if they have added VM yet, so I am pretty bummed about the descrimination.

I made 3 mperks accounts. One with my cell phone, one with my husband’s, and one with my son’s. If there is something that I really want more than one of or a great deal I just do a couple transactions at u-scan. It works fine. I like it better than clipping all the MMB coupons, half the time they don’t work anyway.
Just wondering how this works. Can you use the mperks with the mealbox qs and the manufactors qs??? Or is the mperks like the mealbox qs and you can only do 1 or the other?
mPerks coupons are STORE coupons, like Mealbox coupons. They’re like a digital version of Mealbox discounts. You can use either mPerks or Mealbox on the same item – but not both.
Hello. I would like to do mperks coupons, but I do not have texting on my phone. I am a cashier at Meijer but still haven’t had a chance to ask if it’s possible to do this w/o texting on my phone. Is there any possible way? I have a computer and email address. Please make it possible for me to sign up. I can use my cell no., but just no texting please. We turned it off because we don’t text and were getting text messages we didn’t want. Thanks for any info you can give me.

You’ll have to take this up with Meijer corporate – but, based on their responses to other customers, I’m guessing there’s nothing they can do for you. They know that not everyone will be able to participate, but they’re attempting to keep up with the latest technology and the majority of shoppers who have text-enabled cell phones.
Does anyone else keep running into problems with the site? I couldn’t log in last week for hours because it just kept taking me to an error page. Just now I was able to clip the 2 off 5 coupon, but now there are errors when I try to go to another page to view more coupons. It’s very annoying to have to waste time trying over and over with no success.

I bought plastic spoons but the mperks 50 cent coupon did NOT DEDUCT. I contacted them and their reason is “circle m” is not Meijer ! Even though the package says “Dist by Meijer Distribution , Inc”…. The little “m” on the package sure looks like the “m” in Meijer ads. Have had similar problems with Kroger digital coupons – the websites are not specific enough !
The only thing Im not sure about since I do not text is that from what I understand we are agreeing to recieve texts from Meijer on our cell phone? Doesnt that cost us money? I have text but I dont use it. How many texts have you recived since you signed up?
