These Kroger deal matchups have been created using the Kroger store ad for the Metro Detroit area, where coupons double up to $0.50 (limit 3 identical coupons per order). I’ve listed only what I consider to be the best deals for your money this week. Please let me know if you see others worthy of making the list!

KROGER COUPON POLICY

You can now view the Kroger coupon policy for Michigan online.
Please that Kroger’s coupon policy clearly states in each store ad: Limit 3 Manufacturer’s Coupons will be Doubled (up to $0.50) per Like Items Purchased.

NOTE on Printable Coupons: Some Kroger stores have been denying the redemption of any printable coupon over $1, so proceed with caution when using printable coupons. You can view/print the Kroger Print-at-Home Coupon Acceptance Policy here, which does not specifically restrict the use of printables over $1.

You WILL need a Kroger card to take advantage of these offers; sign up for one at the Customer Service desk if you do not have one!

KROGER SHOPPING TIPS

SELECT Kroger stores outside of Macomb (Grand Blanc, Howell, Frankenmuth and more – view a full list here) will double manufacturer’s coupons up to $1.00! This can mean a great savings (and some potential free items each week). If your travels happen to take you north, check the Kroger ad (search by zip code) for the areas you’re passing through. You just might want to pack your coupons, too! Visit 1-2-3 Save for matchups that include doubles up to $1!

Take your own bags to Kroger and you’ll receive a credit for $0.05 per bag used on your shopping order. You may need to remind your cashier to deduct your credit, however, as the computer will not do it automatically!

Load digital coupons to your Kroger card before you shop: visit Cellfire, P&G eSaver, Shortcuts and Kroger Digital Coupons. Each website lists the e-coupons that can be loaded onto your Kroger Card so that you can save even more! E-coupons are limited to one use per card and will NOT double. Kroger digital coupons may be combined with actual paper manufacturer coupons, according to this response from corporate (the other digital coupon sites restrict it according to policy):

Each store location has the option of using a store or manufacturer’s coupon in addition to a digital coupon – as long as the value of the coupon(s) used does not exceed the purchase price of the item(s).

This post is a proud part of Be Centsable’s Grocery Gathering. Visit the Grocery Gathering for a HUGE free listing of national and local store matchups from around the country, including CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Target, Walmart and more!

I’m wondering about the Nature Valley catalina. I haven’t done the deal yet but I was wondering if the Clusters are part of the deal? You mention in the catalina promotion that you need to buy Nature Valley Granola Bars (or Fiber One bars). TIA.

2 Missy August 16, 2010 at 10:23 PM

I bought 3 Nut clusters and 1 Granola Thins today and got the 2.50 catalina.

3 Casey August 17, 2010 at 9:06 PM

I bought 2 Sweet and Salty Granola Bars and 1 package of Clusters and got the 1.50 reward. So looks like it’s included. Which is good because you can print off $1 off coupon for clusters!

4 kathy August 16, 2010 at 6:49 PM

BC Warm Delights are part of the B8G$4
Sale Price $1.43 – .50 wyb8 -.75/1 coupon = .18

Also, I was happy to find that the tuna on sale this week is Albacore reg 2.29 so that is a SUPER good deal!

5 Coley August 16, 2010 at 9:33 PM

The hefty fresh extend weren’t included at my store and the BC warm delights were priced at $2.19 – $.50= $1.69.

6 cheyenne August 16, 2010 at 9:36 PM

Anyone know if the crayons are still .25???

7 Missy August 16, 2010 at 10:24 PM

They were still .25 at my store and I got the $4.00 catalina. I believe the price and catalina go until the 21st.

8 Emily August 17, 2010 at 9:46 AM

yoplait.com/kids_yogurt.aspx?
has a .50 off yoplait kids yogurt

9 Kathy August 17, 2010 at 2:40 PM

One more,

Pedigree Dentastix 3.19 – .50 wyb 8 – 2.00/1 (8/15rp?) = .69

10 Carolynn Irish August 17, 2010 at 10:08 PM

11 Colleen August 18, 2010 at 7:58 AM

When it says underneath the Nature Valley Granola bars that only 3 identical coupons will double, does that mean I can have 3 identical coupons, and 2 other separate identical coupons and they will ALL double? Just want to check before I go to Kroger. : ) Thanks!

12 Jolyn August 18, 2010 at 8:27 AM

3 Nature Valley Bar coupons will double and 2 Yoplait coupons will double. If you had 5 Nature Valley Bar identical coupons, only the first 3 would double and the last two would scan at face value.

13 Colleen August 18, 2010 at 8:22 AM

Another question about the Mega Savings deal…It is .50 per item and then stops when you reach 8 items? OR if I have 10 participating items will it also deduct .50 for those as well?

14 Jolyn August 18, 2010 at 8:26 AM

For the best savings, you’ll need to purchase those items in groups of 8. If you bought 10, the last 10 scanned will technically be at full price. The discount appears as “-$5.00 Mega Sale” after your items have been scanned. One $5 discount for every 8 items.

15 Colleen August 18, 2010 at 9:10 AM

Thanks for the clarification Joyln! That helps a lot.
For the Nature Valley coupons, I actually have 3 identical coupons and 2 other Nature Valley coupons that are both different. So 5 Nature Valley coupons, but only 3 are identical. So will all 5 double because only 3 are identical?

16 Jolyn August 18, 2010 at 9:29 AM

The UPC/bar code is actually what makes a coupon “identical” to the computer. Check the bar codes to see if they match. If 3 codes are the same and the others are different, all 5 would double (assuming it’s within your store policy to double).

17 Allie August 18, 2010 at 2:45 PM

Everytime I buy the tuna, it gives me coupons off of bumblebee tuna. Some were as high as 1.50 off of 4.

18 Tammy August 18, 2010 at 5:46 PM

Can anyone tell me why the digital coupons loaded on my kroger card never work? I went there today and bought Energizer batteries and the Kroger tortilla chips and I received no discount. I just looked to view the coupons on my card and they are still there but did not come off during this shopping trip. I am also frustrated with the Owosso store never having in products and having to get a raincheck that usually does not help.

19 Casey August 18, 2010 at 7:24 PM

Question about cellfire coupons. Can you pair a cellfire coupon which is already loaded to your card with an manufactures coupon (either printed or from Sunday insert)? And the cellfire coupons can only be used once, right? Or only once per transaction?

20 Jolyn August 18, 2010 at 8:45 PM

Unlike Kroger digital coupons, Cellfire doesn’t recommend the use of a digital coupon with an additional paper manufacturer coupon (since they’re both manufacturer coupons).

Cellfire coupons can only be used once per Kroger card and they will not double.

21 kathy August 18, 2010 at 10:55 PM

If you received the Kroger My magazine, 5 Easy Ways to Make Lunch, there is a $1/1 for Hefty makes them FREE!

Also, the BC Warm Delights I mentioned for .93 (free w/coupon) price is for only three flavors, peanut butter, cinnamon & caramel. Found them at that price at two different stores

22 Elisa August 19, 2010 at 11:39 AM

There is also a $4/1 Schick Hydro Razor Kroger Digital coupon to make the scenario up there a money maker! :D

23 Jamie August 19, 2010 at 1:11 PM

At my Kroger they have the Minute Maid frozen lemonade 4 packs for 10/$10 and there are .50 and .75 coupons out there that exp. 9/30, so either FREE or .25 each!

24 Kathy August 19, 2010 at 9:14 PM

I read about the Minute Maid Frozen Lemonade on AFC and didn’t think it was going on in Michigan but, IT IS!! I picked up the Cherry Limeade –
4 packs for FREE! Thanks Jamie!!

25 Jamie August 20, 2010 at 8:10 AM

Yes, Kathy, it was a nice surprise for me too! I found two more coupons, so I will go back for more today. My Kroger only has the lemonade, but that’s okay…we love it!

26 KATHY August 20, 2010 at 8:58 AM

One more if you received the 5 Easy Ways to Make Lunch mailer:
Lean Pockets 2 @ 2.08/each – .50/each wyb 8 – $2/2 = .58 per box

27 lisa August 20, 2010 at 9:17 PM

I can’t figure out what I did wrong. I bought the exact items in your scenario above with the Schick Razors(2), the Edge shaving cream(1) and the Energizer batteries(2) and the catalina didn’t print. I couldn’t find it in the paper anywhere, can you help me out. Maybe I could go back to the store with the receipt and where it states that? Thanks.

28 Rebecca August 21, 2010 at 2:39 PM

lisa- was the catalina machine working? Or… did you have different “pre-sale” prices on those items? The total needed to be $25 (based on original price). If your stores regular prices were slightly lower than those above, it could have caused your total to be slighly less than $25. In my Kroger ad, the deal was on the lower 1/3 of the right inside page, just a small skinny little area- easy to miss.

29 Andrea August 23, 2010 at 1:26 PM

Grrr…my Kroger refused my Michellina’s $1/5 coupon because it wasn’t a Bricks coupon yesterday with the bubble code. They wouldn’t even scan it! I told them Kroger coupon policy states that as long as it scans and wasn’t copied or whatever it is allowed. They didn’t care! It was some kids running the self checkout so it figures. They were too busy messing around to actually work! :(

30 lisa August 23, 2010 at 2:03 PM

Thanks Rebecca. I checked my receipt and it looks like the razors ended up being 5.99 for one and 4.00 for the other, which was strange. I still thought it should have been totalled off the original prices to equal $25, but maybe it wasn’t. Thanks for your help:)
