Remember to try shopping for items in the “off season.” For example, now is a GREAT time to start shopping for clearance items for next summer or even back-to-school merchandise.  I have found through the years that planning ahead for birthdays and holidays really does help save additional money. Monitor your favorite frugal blogs as well - many bloggers will post additional money-saving coupons for other stores that are not listed above.

Do YOU have any favorite stores that offer rewards or promotions? Please share your best finds in the comments below!

wow! This is AWESOME!

You can add Macy’s to this list, they send out 20% off coupons all the time if you use their credit card (and just pay the balance as soon as you go home).

I buy Carters Baby outfits for $1.99 after clearance and 20% off coupons all the time!

DEALS ON GLASSES/CONTACTS: Great list! I have an usual deal, but I hope it is helpful to someone! My teen daughter wears contacts but also likes a pair of glasses for reading at night. Every summer she has her eyes checked and, of course, her prescription changes. I do get the contacts online at visiondirect.com for the best price (they often have discount codes too). For the glasses, though, I’ve purchased them at her optometrist’s office – I know, probably not the thriftiest place! But . . . this year when my daughter went to look at new frames, she commented on how much she liked her glasses from last year and the person helping us said we could just order new lenses and swap them out. Never, ever thought of that! Saved approximately $200! Of course, this won’t work well for younger children who are harder on their frames, but . . . maybe it will help someone!
