Coupons are accepted at FACE VALUE at Target stores.
You may combine a Target store coupon with a manufacturer coupon to maximize savings. You may be limited to one identical Target store coupon per transaction, as stated on the Target coupon.
Target regular store prices may vary slightly by location.
The local Target ads now read “Get $0.05 off your shopping trip for every reusable bag you bring in.” Be sure to ask your cashier to credit your order, or point out the notice on the back page of the ad.
You can now view the Target Store Coupon Policy online. Print it out and keep it with your shopping list just in case you need it!

There is also a Windex-all-in-one starter kit coupon for $3 on their website. And this makes it free.
Stacey says
@Daneale,
I assume you’re referring to the $3 Target coupon available on target.com. Since the $5 gift card coupon is a Target coupon already, I personally think that it’s the only one you can stack with the $5 manufacturer coupon. It’s just a different way of giving you a discount on the product, but it’s still a Target coupon.
hi says
I tried this today and was told the $5 g.c. coupon was for a different product than the one I picked up. The item is supposed to be in a box (not just the bottle).
$8.99 Scrubbing Bubbles Extend-A-Clean Power Sprayer Starter Kit (regular price)
-$5.00 Target gift card coupon (from 5-2 SS)
-$5.00/1 coupon (from 4-11 SS)
Stacey says
@hi,
How strange! There isn’t a power sprayer starter kit in a box… the bottle with the spray nozzle attached IS the starter kit. The refills are just capped (no spray nozzle). It’s even pictured that way on the coupon. Did your cashier try to scan the coupons? I used mine last week with no beeping.
Corinne Lukasik says
@Stacey, I bought it last week with no problem! You must have had a cashier who was newer!
Rachael says
I have a question about coupons. Can I use the $4 off 2 Gillette body wash coupon and use the Buy any Gillette body wash get one free at the same time?
Stacey says
@Rachael,
If you mean that you want to use those 2 coupons and only purchase 2 items, no. You can’t use 2 manufacturer coupons on the same item, and the $4/2 coupon requires the purchase of 2 items. But, you could purchase 4 body washes and use both coupons.
Tammy says
It seems it is always a huge challenge to shop at Target with coupons. I follow the coupon policy and comply with all rules and regs but for some reason I have trouble using coupons at Target. Does anyone else have alot of problems? I usually shop at the 26 and Van Dyke store. I get you can only use 1 coupon per purchase,( I do only use 1 coupon per item) cashiers think I’m only able to purchase 1 of the same item. I’m unable to take both of these coupons one being a man. and one being a Target. What? Targets policy is one man. and one Target per item. Why I ask Why all the problems? I have sent emails and called corporate to have this addressed and it seems to go no where.
Stacey says
@Tammy,
I’m always disappointed to hear that people have problems using coupons at Target. If I couldn’t use coupons (within policy), Target wouldn’t be worth shopping at! 😉 Your story sounds like a need to educate the cashiers in their own coupon policy.
At my stores (genereally 15/Van Dyke, Hall/Schoenherr, and Hall/Heydenreich), there are signs hanging at the register stating that one manuf Q and one Target Q can be used on the same item. It’s also clearly spelled out in the coupon policy. And purchasing 2 items with 2 coupons is clearly allowed at any store unless the coupon states “1 per transaction.” I would suggest that you print out the coupon policy and ask to speak with the store manager about your past experiences (before shopping next time). Ask them to tell you what they will and won’t allow (i.e. stacking the manuf/Target coupons, purchasing 2 boxes of cereal with 2 coupons, etc.). Then when you check out, you can confidently tell the cashier to call the manager over when they question your coupon usage.
I hope that helps – good luck!
hi says
When I tried to buy the Scrubbing bubbles cleaner, the cashier did not scan the coupon. He said a lot of people have been trying to use the coupon on the “wrong” product. I didn’t want to push the issue since other people were in line. Target’s coupon policies can be confusing!
Stacey says
@hi,
Next time, don’t be afraid to ask for a manager (after your purchase if necessary). Ask the manager to show you the “proper” product to use the coupon on. To my knowledge, there isn’t another starter kit product, so it would be interesting to see what they show you!
Jessica says
I have had several coupon issues at Target as well….. I have had problems with the johnsons buddie bar coupon, the cashier said that it had to be one of the items pictured in the coupon, I also had a manager come out and say that she was a “partner with P&G” and I COULD NOT use the gilette satin care on the trial size can, but nowhere on the can or the coupon does it state that it is or has to be trial size, then she also told me that I could not use the coupon on the carefree because it was also a trial size as well.
Carrie says
I live Downriver and the Schick Hydro 3 is on sale for $6.99. When you stack the manu and the target q’s along with the giftcard it’s a $3 moneymaker!
Stacey says
The Schick Hydro 3 blade razor is priced at $6.99, and is eligible to use with the coupons & gift card deal. So then it’s a $3.02 moneymaker (if you can find them in stock)!
Courtney says
I, too, have had drama shopping at Target (26 Mile) with coupons. It’s such a pain because they have to manually adjust the price, if the coupon amount is more than the item price. Last week when I was getting the trial size deodorants, the cash register screen read something like “item not purchased” or “no item match” even though the reason the coupons didn’t work was because the price needed to be adjusted. The cashier checked my bags to make sure I had bought the right item. I just told the cashier that the coupon doesn’t state “excludes trial sizes.” It really depends on the cashier. I have never had a problem using the Johnson Buddies soap coupons, but I have been there and witnessed another customer dealing with a cashier who would not allow it. (FYI…Kroger also has the soap for $0.99 and they’re really good about redeeming coupons. You can also find the Reach Floss at Walmart for $0.97.)
